"Stopped in on Tuesday morning. Parking lot was full, still had plenty of seating inside though. Cute and cozy inside. Friendly staff! Portions were huge and prices not too bad! I had the country fried steak, it was delicious! It came with your choice of toast or a biscuit with gravy!!! BONUS! The biscuit was hard as a rock and the gravy was cold, not just cool, but cold. They did reheat the biscuit, but it really was way over microwaved and you couldn’t eat it, however, the gravy was EXCELLENT and I’m picky!!! My hash browns were cooked perfectly, the pancakes were huge fluffy and the omelettes were a great size! It did take our server a bit to get around to taking our order, I think she forgot about us, but she did apologize and food came out QUICKLY! We will definitely be back! Just look at that picture! YUM"

"My family and I came here the other night to have a nice sit down family meal. But because of staffing issues the dining room shuts down at 2:30. I still give the restaurant 5 stars as we do enjoy eating here. Hopefully staffing will increase so we can dine here again."

"I visited The Looking Glass after a delightful visit to the Rotary Botanical Gardens. I was not disappointed. It was the perfect eatery to cap off a lovely day spent in Janesville. The staff was friendly, the menu offered variety and the small but welcoming outdoor patio was perfect to soak in the sunshine over a good meal. My friend and I split both the pulled pork sandwich and the chicken pesto wrap. Both were delicious and filling. The fried onion ring on the pork sandwich set it apart from the usual. I would definitely visit again."

"Very disappointed today.Been coming to MM forever and have always had a pleasant experience, however today really left me sour.The red haired girl behind the counter waited on another person while I was clearly next.Typically this wouldn’t have been a big deal but she knew I wasn’t too happy and said “whatever”.This is not acceptable customer service and maybe the employees should ask who’s next before waiting on people."

"Best Mexican food, but the service is not good anymore. Had a horrible experience there tonight! Their prices have been raised too high, and the bathrooms, which I've complained about before, and was told they were being renovated over a year ago, are absolute crap! You cannot even get into the stalls and when you do you have to straddle the toilet to get in the door and tonight when we were there, there was throw up in the last stall that is the ONLY ONE you have room to move in. Prices were raised on all of the margaritas and we were not given satisfaction with our bill, as half of the bill was liquor and not right! When we complained to the manager he only gave us 10% off and he should have given us the pitcher price for what we had. We may pick another Mexican restaurant in Janesville from now on and this has been our favorite for over 20 years! Disappointment is not even ample for how we felt tonight"

"When someone orders takeout, there are two important things to consider: egg rolls should always be packaged separately, not placed inside with the lunch, which caused them to become soggy and soaked in the juices from the lunch special. Customers expect their egg rolls to be crispy and enjoyable, not limp and inedible. Additionally, regardless of whether you pay with cash or card, your receipt should be securely stapled to the bag. This is basic restaurant etiquette. Overall, I am very disappointed."

"We arrived on Saturday night with no reservations and had no trouble finding a table. The waiter was knowledgeable with a cheery disposition and enthusiastically recommended the two specials,one being the sea bass he other being a steak with all the accoutrements. My wife chose the filet and was impressed that she didn't feel the need to slather it with steak sauce for it was seasoned to perfection,and she enjoyed it immensely. I chose the pork chop for my entree and enjoyed it as well.The seasoning had just the right piquancy. Of course the sides which consisted of green vegetables were seasoned also and delicious. The meals were outstanding. The waiter informed us the Chef came from the former Clara Bo's restaurant which closed down about two years ago and they felt fortunate to have him.We did not order desert,but the selections looked appetizing. The beer and wine selection was tremendous ,almost too many choices,especially for the beer (ha ha .We had a wonderful evening and definitely will come again.This is a Good location, right downtown. The ambience was cheerful which made it especially appealing to immerse yourself in this wonderful restaurant."

"Okay, so I'm glad to give five stars where it's due! prime quarter steakhouse is one of my most popular places to eat by far! all I have eaten here is always fabulous, but for good quality there is a pretty good price tag. for four people, drinks( adult drinks it is averaged by about $50 per head! but for this price you will eat home. they have an salat,- kartoffel and texas toastbuffet with any steak purchase! I really enjoy the burgundy mushrooms, as it is very complicated! it is also a grill itself or we can cook it for them so that is another plus! I also enjoy their spotted kuh design (exclusively only wisconsin! all in all I love this place and I hope that they too!"

"My daughter insists that they have the best laughs ever! The service was good, and the restrooms were nice. Overall, the food was delicious. I had a steak salad, but the grilled steak wasn't really to my liking; I think it would have been better served raw on the salad. However, the bread and cheeses were fantastic. The sugared rim on the blood orange margarita was a bit disappointing, but the flavor was still good. The brandy old fashioned was perfectly made. We will definitely visit again and try different items the next time we are in the area."

"When I say the flavor of the food here is unmatched, I mean it. I travel from Illinois to come to this restaurant because there isn't a local one that is this good. The complimentary chips and salsa are so good. The salsa is not spicy, it's perfect for anyone to eat even if they can't do spicy foods. The ground beef crispy tacos are my go to, the meat has so much flavor. The margs are phenomenal... and the best part is the price point. You can come here and have dinner for two and a couple margaritas for less than 40bucks. Unless of course you get the GIANT Margarita in the picture, that will be more.. but so worth it. This place is hidden off the beaten path, and so worth the adventure to get there.. and with a movie theatre next door, it's a perfect date night spot for dinner and a movie."

"So I've been frequenting the chophouse for a couple of years now. I am very fond of their h Happy Hour (20 local crafts changing as much as possible ice cold! Hands down the coldest beer in town!! So that's pretty much when I mostly go in. With that being said unfortunately I personally can not speak of the food from my own tastings, however all of my time spent there not once have I heard a negative comment from any of the patrons seated around me (typically at the bar unless when the patio is open. Then sometimes I'll enjoy a book in the nice weather with an amazing view! I Have to say a million bravos to it's staff!! Through the busy times to the slow times I've observed how well functioning the staff they have on board! And EVERYONE even hotel staff great me on first name basis. A special shout out to Alicia, Danielle, Jodi and James (all my favorite bartenders! Ivan though a server he still knows who I am! As well as the back of the house Chef Victor, Cari and Dawn! Thank you a for treating me like family and always having a good time with me when possible!!! Hidden gem indeed!"

"We ate at the Janesville location Saturday late afternoon. It wasn’t crazy busy and we got in after a couple of minutes. I ordered an iced tea and my wife a margarita. When they arrived the iced tea was served with no lemon, straw and had to ask for sugar too. My wife order steak medium and shrimp and. I ordered the 16 Oz prime rib medium. My wife’s dinner was OK but my Prime was barely rare and super tough and fatty. I wanted to send it back but our waitress never returned to our table until we used the kiosk to check out. Then she asked how it was, I told her it was not any good, under cooked tough and fatty, as she looked at the huge pile of uneaten scraps on my plate. She did ask if I wanted to talk to the manager but at this point I was so mad I just shook her off. That shouldn’t even be a question, if it was BAD go get the manager period. I stopped at Culver’s on the way home for a burger that was way better than my meal."
