"We have been to most Star Restaurants in Switzerland and really enjoy gastronomy and are from the profession. When you go to a 2 Michelin Star restaurant, the expectations are high and to be fair, set by the Guide. We were on our 20th anniversary...on Friday the 13th 2019. We expected outstanding food, elegance in service and impeccable hospitality. First when we walk in, there is a waiter who seems clueless and let’s us stand there and wait for someone else to bring to our table. The menu, was on the table and looked like a pizzeria menu. This we were told was only the Menu Degustation, but the waiter didn’t tell us there was also “A different à la carte menu”. There is no sommelier, and despite a wonderful win list, it’s on an iPad which makes it really everything else than elegant. The waiters were wearing black jeans and sneakers, again, maybe an attempt to be cool and hipster But really, no need for it. The food was very good, no question. But we would have loved to see a cheese plate, but again nothing there. At the end of our dinner, the waitress who was supposed to be the sommelier, comes to serve the last Glas of wine. She shakes the carafe so all the sediments go into suspension again, and while the wine is turning really fast in the carafe, she serves it so all the wine end up on the table instead of in the Glas. The gals only got a bit of sediments left over. What is here reaction to this situation? She takes my napkin to cover up the spot that was about 30x20cm. We left without taking a desert because we felt, this is just not special. Again, the food was really good, but the experience less than average unfortunately. When you pay a meal 400CHF for two, you can expect perfection and elegance on top of good food."
