"They were able to squeeze us in for a reservation last minute. We were greeted quickly, and the staff was very friendly. I chose the 'call me a cab ' wine flight, and it did not disappoint. The lobster bisque was delicious and meaty. We chose the caprese salad, filet, and green beans. Everything tasted incredible, and our server was accommodating to all of our needs."

"I went to MacFarlane 's Celtic Pub in Lake Charles for lunch with some co-workers. This was my first visit, and a co-worker recommended the Fish Chips. I ordered this for $19.99. The menu describes the Fish Chips as follows: Two slabs of wild caught pacific cod dipped in founders ' beer batter and fried until crisp. Set atop a bed of fresh fried seasoned chips. Served with grilled lemon, homemade remoulade and your choice of a side . After about a 15-minute wait, the food arrives. The plate had 2 small pieces of fish on top of a bed of chips. They definitely weren 't two slabs as described on the menu. If i would have been dining alone, I would have sent it back and ordered something else with bigger portion sizes. However, the fish was hot and fried to a golden brown and tasted very good. If you are hungry, do not order the Fish Chips. They are not worth $19.99."

"Decent meal, average service and below average decor/comfort. Food was pretty good. We sat outside which was more of a concert courtyard with uncomfortable metal chairs. Inside was very bar centered and felt more like your in a pub than a restaurant with a bar. For all the hype they get I was unimpressed."

I had their chicken and sausage gumbo, with a side salad and stuffed potato. My partner had the Nina P Burger. Everything was absolutely delicious, with the exception of the rice served with the gumbo (it was definitely old rice, heated in a microwave. I could tell because it was hard. <br/ <br/ Portions were HUGE, the prices arent bad, and the atmosphere and service are a pure delight. Definitely recommend this place to anyone passing through or visiting."

"Husband and I had dinner on a Friday evening just before Valentines Day. The food was delicious and presentation was absolutely beautiful. The lighting is bright enough to see well without being glaring. Plus there was a live saxophone player with soothing tunes. This made for a great romantic setting. Prices are reasonable as well. Portions are enough for two meals-take home or share. Staff is professional and friendly. Prompt without being intrusive. Will definitely visit here again. Side note-there was a sweet couple at the next table who recommended some dishes, as it was our first visit. They shared a small sampling of their food when it came to their table, just so we could try it. (Clean plate and utensils were used! If you’re reading this, and recognize yourselves, we hope you liked the recommendations we gave for the Italian restaurant!"

"First time at Paul's. I have a brisket taco, ribs and corn maquechoux (1st time try this kind of corn, I am not from LA). The Brisket taco was delicious! A generous part of the delicate, slender brisket, cheese and cubed onions on a very buttery tortilla. The ribs were tender and not too fat. The corn was pretty good, although it was made with canned maize. No deal breaker in any case, but it was still really good. I definitely come to Pauls to try the other BBQ delicacies."

"Tony's Remodel is brighter than before. Food is still great, like always. Of you like olives, the Greek salad and Muffalotto are fantastic. I wonder where they get them steaks from because they are great. The staff very friendly and courteous. Mr Jerry and staff are always on top with service. Great place to come and eat at. "We normally get take out but have eaten on location. It’s usually really crowded so good luck. The Darrell’s Special with jalapeños mayonnaise is our usual order. It’s so good! They are so good that when I visit family out of town, they request that I stop to get them each a Darrell’s Special, “packed for travel.” Darrell’s packs the ingredients separately for assembly upon arrival. "Been a supporter of this spot since it opened. It's the best tap room in the state hands down. It's big, multi-storied, and hosts a regular rotation of events. I know that's far from a small accomplishment. They've been great to Lake Charles.The glaring issue is that they're becoming more and more focused on the venue aspect. Having the focus they have on that is far from bad, but it's making a blite on their name as a brewery at this point. Let's also be honest and say, that aspect needed to be worked on first.If alienating patrons by turning them away after they've traveled to be there for the brewery itself, and not a mediocre concert, is the way this place is going then I'm throwing the towel in.There's also been the issue of how overpriced the beer is compared to the general market and for FAR less on quality product.Hope them the best, honestly, I know it's a tough business, but you lost me and I know of plenty others."

"It was out first time here. Came from San Antonio, Texas. Everything would've been great but we had a to go order and found out no napkins or ketchup were not placed in the bag that we clearly asked for. The gator could of had more seasoning, it was tasty but bland. A little more salt I guess. The shrimp was fire though !"
