"By 2:12 PM, I was still waiting in the drive-thru as the sixth car in line, with two cars behind me. It seemed like there was a strong demand for Arby's, as many people were eager to get their food. From where I sat, I could see that the drive-thru menu board was partially damaged, and I worried I might miss out on some good deals.
At 2:17 PM, the voice over the speaker was less than cheerful, greeting me with a “Welcome to Arby's, order when you're ready,” but it sounded quite tired. At 2:20 PM, I placed my order for a double meat sandwich, but the employee didn’t ask if I wanted anything else. I began to feel a bit unwelcome due to the lack of engagement.
However, as I approached the pick-up window at 2:28 PM, I encountered a bright spot in the experience. The girl at the window was warm and friendly. She assured me she would have my order ready after returning my card, and when she asked about my sauce, she enthusiastically tucked it into her pocket before wishing me a great day.
I couldn't help but wonder about the difference in attitudes between the two employees. Maybe the first was just having a rough day, but the girl at the window really turned things around. I hadn’t planned on giving any stars at the start of this review, but her positive demeanor earned this experience four stars. I ended up waiting nearly 30 minutes for my sandwich, but they were obviously busy, and things seemed to have improved since the dining room opened.
In any case, I’m grateful for the friendly girl at the window, as she was the highlight of my visit. I just wish I had caught her name."
