"Me and my fiance decided to go here for our date night as we were looking for a restaurant with a prix fixe menu. For the most part the reviews were pretty good so we went for it. The music was quite boring. Our server (Mike? was great, he gave me his honest opinion about the food I was considering ordering. We ordered mixed drinks, which really were not the best. The flavors did not tie together well not to mention I had the biggest sphere shaped ice cube I 've ever seen which instantly watered down my drink. We waited approx 20 mins for just the first course (a salad . Second course was the calamari and it was okay. Third course was the braised beef short ribs: the biggest disappointment of the night. Part moist and part dry. ZERO flavor. Lying on a bed of cheesy grits which also tasted watered down. The best meal I had that night was the dessert which was the warm cookie dough. Another thing that I want to point out is that the presentation of the food lacks a wow factor. They did not make the meals look appetizing at all. Won 't be returning unfortunately as the food was just too basic for me for such a wannabe upscale kind of place."

"Treated my mom to a wonderful lunch. The service was top notch and the restaurant has a quiet, calm, upscale atmosphere. The food is always exceptional, we had the tuna melt and the famous orange Soufflé! Even the iced tea is delicious! Can't wait to return soon. PS-I seriously wish I could purchase the strawberry butter and consommé to enjoy at home. They're the best part!"

"Wow what a lackluster Ruth Chris meal. This Short Hills location is really bad (the Princeton locations delivery and quality is spot on). Short Hills cold food, dry mashed potatoes and I am only one mile away. Pretty much Outback Steakhouse at double the price."
