"Man, Riverwalk used to be a vibe. I came here because it was unique, and not pretentious. I would sit under the great John Coltrane poster and listen to new music, and feel like I was at home. New ownership has taken over, and it has all just been whitewashed. All the originality, vibe, and charm is gone. Staff now all wear the same outfits, and there are these “espresso yourself” signs everywhere. It’s like watching corporate America take over the small business feel in real time. I used to come here and feel like part of a community, and now it feels like having coffee in the bargain bin of Michael’s craft store. The coffee and food are fine the staff is great, as always. But if you want a unique and homey experience, Riverwalk is no longer the place. This place is sterile now."
