Banh Mi By Rice And Spoon

"Very disappointed in our Banh Mis. We ordered the chasu Banh mi which they advertise to be Japanese style but it tasted like the meat in bo kho (beef stew). The meat was tender but the overall sandwich was very dry. We also ordered the grilled beef Banh mi which didn 't taste like bo nuong but more of a Vietnamese beef jerky (Viets will know this reference). Again the taste of the meat wasn 't bad but the sandwich was very dry. Neither of the sandwiches use pate or Mayo but instead use a house special sauce but I didn 't taste or see any sauce in the sandwich. I am wondering if they only use pate and Mayo for their classic Banh mi. However a Banh mi missing these ingredients make it taste very lackluster and dry. In addition the bread tasted chewy and not fresh. And the pickled veggies were not very pickled the carrots taste like regular carrots. For $9.95 a sandwich the quality and taste is not there or justified."

"Girl ... when I tell you these rice balls are absolutely amazing! Keep in mind theres a slight kick to the small Yaya Shrimp (S) RB, but its not bad at all. Rather pleasant and really dont do spice. Shrimp w Crab (L) RB tastes wonderful and is very simple savory. The Hokkaido Milk Tea was perfect because I needed caffeine. Thank you."

"My wife and I visited La Casa Pasta from Bel Air, MD for our anniversary. Your photo of Tagliolini Clams with white sauce attracted my wife. This is her favorite dish when prepared as you make it. Unfortunately, the server did not hear her say white and delivered red sauce. This was rectified in a very rapid manner and she was given her correct order. Very excellent turnaround on the mistake! I had the Mostaccioli Pasesano and it was excellent. A 45-minute drive was nothing for this jewel of a famiglia Italian spot."

"While staying at the Embassy Suits up the road I looking for a convenience store to pick up some contact solution. I figured I'd find something in walking distance so off I went! Well, I didn't luck out with that but I stumbled upon this awesome deli. I ordered a simple sandwich for dinner and it was perfect; exactly what I was looking for. The neatest part was that the staff thanked me by name as I left. Sure, they asked for it when I placed the order, but I was so enamored that they provided such sincere customer service. 10/10, so glad I stumbled on this shop on foot because I probably would have missed if I were driving."

"This place offers a Delightful and authentic Brazilian cuisine snack. It is a clean pleasant place with calm fresh atmosphere. I had “Coxinha” and “Bolinho de aipim com carne moída”. The dough was tasty, not oily at all, light and pleasant: no heartburn after eating them, making these options a great snack before flight.Also, the açai bowl is just fantastic, with humongous amounts of toppings available.Last but not least, the environment and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It is incredibly close to EWR airport (like 5 min drive!)Congrats to the team!"

"This is related to a small family gathering on a Sunday. The elevator made it easy to transport items to upper level. Staff greeted us at the door to assist with cake and signage. The staff was pleasant from beginning to the end. There was another gathering in the same room after ours and my biggest concern was turn around time if I were the later party I would not want to walk into a mess. The staff was diligent in the clean up and linen changes without rushing us to clear the room. There was a need for another table and the staff accommodated the extra senior guests quickly and without disrupting the flow of the event. The only uncomfortable thing in the upper room back) is the fact this is where the bathrooms are located so everyone walks through that room. There were no problems but that needs to be considered if you are considering a private event in this particular room."

"The pizza was extremely cold ? I try giving them chances but they fail everytime they only 8 minutes away from me it makes no sense. I wanted my cheese on my fries they didn’t do as I asked. Fries are cold and the cheese was cold to and nasty. Not ordering from here anymore. Nothing compare to Philadelphia pizzerias. I ordered at 8:46pm and got my food at 10pm smh"

"I loved the food, the place was very nice to eat at. I had the end of brisket which was delicious, the collard greens were unbelievably delicious, the baked brussel sprouts were very good. My son had a hamburger, I don't know the name, but he said it was fabulous, and he had a brownie dessert that I tasted and was extremely good. I had the bread pudding, but was disappointed with that."

"My second time at Jacks and a first in their indoor dining area. The service was fast even for a lunch hour and the servers attentive. I tried a newish item on the menu, an omelet with chili verde. It was fine, and so was the french toast my friend ordered. The acoustics indoor can make for a loud atmosphere. I wish there was more to say."

"We went last night for my mother in laws birthday and it was amazing. We got there at 5:30 on a Saturday. It was all amazing, food was delicious, hot, and simply perfect. We were a party of 9 and the service was 100% on point with all our needs and waiters were very nice and friendly. Also made sure we were good and our drink were filled to the top. I have been here before and it never disappoints, food and service is consistent. I recommend Spanish Tavern to all for all occasion or just because. "Small place with 4 or 5 table downstairs and the order counter and more tables upstair. Far from fancy but our food was top notch!We ordered a chicken pad thai: excellent, large portion, lots of scallions, herbs, etc... a chicken with thai basil sauce: also excellent, quite hot but sooo tasty.All together with a peach iced team and a spring water, it came out to $31, so very reasonable at $15.50 per person. Can't comment on service as we ordered on the counter and food was delivered to our table but they were very nice."

"I placed an order through Grubhub. I normally get four from the place on Bloomfield ave. It’s always so yummy and my orders are always correct. It didn’t come up so I chose the one on Halsey, taking a chance. No. First of all they got my order wrong. I asked for classic salad and the gave me bean and corn, none of the toppings that come with it and no dressing. My lettuce was wilted and the Al Pastor…I’ve never tasted this kind of meat so plain. Not good. I’d order from booomfield Avenue but never this location again."

"I fought for this outback for my dad's birthday. everything was great. we had plans to go to texas roadhouse that did not allow any reservations and when we are there they refused to serve us because we were a party of ten, apparently that is their weekend policy. I called outback and they were great! the hostess knew they had another big party at the time we wanted, but the time took to talk to the manager to see if they could take us instead of just turning us away. they said we might have to wait a bit if we were to sit on a table, but they caught us on a table. our waitress was very nice. they brought my father dessert and after we had sung happy birthday, the busser sang behind us the stevie wonder birthday song when he sat the other table. the personal seemed to be super pleasant and as far as food is concerned, it was great. I worked in restaurants for years, including several steak houses and was very happy with everything! probably the new place for dads B-Day, and he had a great time!"
