"Location Nördlingen an der Romantic Straße is surrounded by Germany's only accessible city wall. From Daniel, the tower of the St George Church, there is a wonderful view over the medieval city and the Ries, which was built about 15 million years ago by the impact of a meteorite. In the unique Rieskrater museum we were on the track of the Ries meteorite and received a lot of information about and about the crater. We parked in front of the city wall and looked for a cozy inn, a little off in the old town and found the Blue Bell . The blue building, built in 1712 by a bell-caster, was bought in 1815 by a host and has been called “Blue Bell” since that time. It is freshly renovated outside and makes a cozy impression. Also inside it is very homely, behind the counter an old, beautifully carved attachment cabinet was reworked and now appears like a small scream. The wooden floor, the bare chairs and tables are made of dark wood. Place is for about 60 people with the adjacent ridge, which has been designed somewhat more modern with red and orange wall paint and a red bench for larger families with children who are very welcome here. Larger events take place in another room. The host room was decorated with the Sarottimohr or with antiques from past times. It's all kind. Service We didn't want to be undamaged and immediately pick a table ourselves, but waited in the entrance area. However, this was misunderstood. We weren't observed at first and then asked in a head shake, what we want, we should choose a place. Also, that we wanted a big beer, surprise triggered. After all we had taken all the hurdles, there was a really cozy evening. Here almost exclusively the Nördlinger met in a cozy round. Food Here is a lot of home and homemade. The card is not very large and also the selection, but everyone finds something for their taste. We chose the homemade muzzles with ham cream sauce (10.90 € and the Cordon Bleu (220 gr with potato salad (12.50 €). The mouthbags were really nice big dough bags with a minced meat spinat filling. However, the cream sauce was too violent and overlaid everything. But that was my fault, there are also the mules more neutral. The Cordon Bleu was gigantic. Nicely panned and baked in the pan lay the still juicy part on the plate. The huge portion of shattery potato salad was hard to handle, but so good that it had to leave. With thick bellies, we made our way home for a later hour. Conclusion: Small secret tip in Nörtlingen. Homemade, huge portions."
