"Not sure what happened to this place, but during the year the quality of food decreased. I'm from Chicago and as close to the comfort as it once was, I'm gonna think about it now. I ordered a combo and I got 6 pounds of roast beef and when I ate the sandwich, I noticed that the link was pink. Showed it to the older gentleman and insisted that it was precooked before they received it. He obviously took less care of the quality. I want to download the picture. So sad I spent $22 on it."

"To go orders are great but unwrapped plastic spoons only? The curry has large chunks of chicken in it but they expect you to eat with only a plastic spoon? It just doesn't make sense. If you're only going to offer a spoon to eat with then you should cut the meat into bitesize peices. And the fact that to go flatware is unwrapped is also just gross. Great food though, very tasty needs salt but still very tasty. Recommend bringing your own drink if you're eating there as they offer room temperature cheap bottled water on the tables (not knocking it, just providing information for future eaters I'm really glad that they don't have a problem with outside drinks). Please get some proper to go flatware!!!"

"Tom Kha soup is so flavorful and it was piping hot even though I got it to go and still had a bit of a commute. Got the Por Pier Tod for an app and it was crispy and the sauce was amazing! Definitely should not miss out on this place. Great customer service too. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"My friend and I went here for the first time tonight. The food was very good, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere is nice and quiet and calming. After driving all the way home, I realized my wallet must have fallen out of my purse there. I called, talked to the nicest woman, and they waited for me to come get my wallet, despite the restaurant being closed! I am so grateful and impressed with the amazing kindness and customer service that the two waitresses showed me. I will be a loyal returning customer. Y’all should definitely give this gem a try."

"This place was super busy last time I was here, so I decided to come early. I went with the Fried Fish Shrimp Platter. I expected it to be a smaller serving, so I was not surprised when it came out. $21) I will say, however, that it was verydelicious. The shrimp were a good size, lightly battered, and very tasty. Especially with the great shrimp sauce. The fish wasfull, perfectly cooked, and excellent: moist, a little heavier breading, and satisfying. I washed it all down with some freshsqueezed lemonade. The staff was friendly, quick, professional, and the ambiance was great. Give it a try."

"Southern inspired restaurant local to Austin, Tx. They pride themselves in using local ingredients. You can really taste the freshness of their ingredients. To start your meal you will get a complimentary taste of their pimento cheese. They have a nice selection of drinks, beer and wine. I had the Cobb Salad but substituted for the southern fried chicken. They add their home made corn nuts and it really adds the perfect touch of crunchy to the salad. The portion was perfect size and delicious. The service was great, the food came out quickly. Definitely worth trying if you are in Austin!"

"I'm from Seattle and not familiar with the area. Took my daughter who is a HUGE Fogo de Chao fan and we all thought the food and service was excellent! We will go back k again since she and her family live in Round Rock. Plenty of parking, great ambiance, comfortable, tender juicy meats and a great salad and food bar! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Stopped by on a Friday night for a few drinks after having dinner in downtown Round Rock. It was crowded, but was able to find a table inside. Waitress immediately came over to ask about our drink preferences and made some recommendations based upon that. We had a party of 5, but she had good recommendations for the varying preferences. They have a massive beer menu from draft to bottles. Whether you like dark, light, red, ales, stouts, foreign, domestic, IPA, sweet, ciders, seltzers, sour, etc... you'll find many options to choose from. It is fun trying different beers you can't find in most places. Good drinks and service."

"Hubs and I came in for lunch. Rib meat slid off the bone and the brisket was tender. The food was also kept covered and warm which a lot of places don't bother to do. Not a fan of cold BBQ so this place really stood out in that regard. The ladies at the counter were super sweet and brought freshly grilled Texas toast to the table. Probably the best place we've found in the area and we will definitely be back."

"WOW! First of all, the interior and layout of this place is STUNNING! I ordered a delicious small pepperoni basil pizza and washed it down with an electric jellyfish IPA. Devoured the entire tray. The seating was very new to me, like a modern school cafeteria vibe. It definitely made it a different dining experience than I'm used to and I loved it. The staff was also very friendly! I came in hangry, left happy satisfied! 10/10 Side note: I would've taken better photos of the inside, but the place was packed and I don't feel comfortable posting photos with a bunch of random strangers in it. But check it out yourself! It's one of my fave restaurant designs now."

"Food was not great, not terrible. Middle of the road burgers and fries/onion rings. A bit bland and not really fresh. I would only come back for the new monthly shakes. Prices should come down about 40% for what the food is."

"Best chain BBQ ever ... OK, scratch that. One of the best BBQ joints around. Fast, friendly atmosphere. Try the blackened ends on the moist brisket. You won't be disappointed."

"I use to come every Thursday during high school for the Philly cheesesteak back in 1991/1992. Best sandwiches ever. Every now and then I would drive from Waco just to get a sandwich after high school. 20+ years later, I would still recommend Hoody's to any one within ear shot."

"My third visit and my food was spot on but my daughter's biscuit and gravy was very bland. She said it was the most ordinary biscuits and gravy she's ever had and she is a B&G connoisseur. I tried the spicy chicken and waffles this time, not very spicy but pretty tasty. A crispy fry and seasoning on the fried chicken, the waffle had a nice flavor and held up well under the chicken, and the fruit looked fresh cut. Also tried the cheddar poblano grits, literally some of the best grits I've had (flavor and texture), and I grew up in Florida and grits are everywhere!"

"I thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and the staff was very welcoming. However, there were a few issues. We didn't receive any cookies before or after our meal, and had to inquire with the waitstaff before we were given any. We had to request refills for our drinks multiple times, and even then, the waiter would only remember to refill one drink and forget the others. The chicken and dumplings I ordered had only one piece of chicken in a bowl full of dumplings. The fried okra was cold and chewy. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be returning to this restaurant anytime soon."

"We visited La Margarita restaurant after a couple of months from our last visit. This time, I decided to put aside items that I normally order, which are either Caldo de Res (Beef soup) or Pescado Parrilla (Grilled fish), and go for a chicken dish called Rio Grande that consists of two chicken enchiladas, two chicken tacos and charro beans plus rice. The dish was delicious asthe shredded chicken in the enchiladas and tacos were very tasty; the rice was good but I think the charro beans might have beena little overcooked. Overall it was a good dish but I think I will stick to my usual choices next time."

"Food was outstanding, cocktails were a little expensive in my opinion. Service was good but not great, very slow at times. Overall I would recommend giving it a shot. All the sides were awesome. We had mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and Brussels sprouts. I had filet mignon with pear and blue cheese and thought it was incredible."

"We really enjoyed our meal at Whiskey Cake. Parking is a bit tricky on a busy Saturday night but they sat us at our exact reservation time, recommended great options from the menu, and delivered our food promptly. It’s a bit dark and a bit loud, so consider that, but we’re looking forward to going back and trying other things."

"Visited here on a Sunday after church. Looking for something to eat with family. Cute place in downtown Round Rock so decided to give it a try. Small but intimate inside. Decently clean. Service was okay. Started with appetizer of charcuterie type items. Didn 't love it. Some items tasted good and then others a little too aged . Had a salad and it was good. The Raspberry vinaigrette has Dijon it it which seems like odd mixture. My Aunt had a pasta with wine red sauce that was delightful. I did see the calzones being served that looked huge and amazing. Maybe that 's the way to go. Might try again and eat different items (pizza and calzones). Wasn 't great for light drinks and apps. Also doesn 't offer sweet tea."
