"When I drove past a McDonalds enroute to Vintage Steak House, I thought how funny it would be to eat there on my trip to Long Island. After reading the reviews I hoped for at least an unforgettable meal and experience in vintage, but also not true. The service seemed almost a afterthought when the ones we regret enough to not let too long an interior table sit before they are able to order. It's over 30 minutes between sitting and coming to my appetizers. The Scallop appetizer special was at least warm, but the sand in my bites tells me that they didn't clean the scallops well. But they were well cooked. They were chopped and placed on the mashed potatoes. A brown sauce was under and it had an acidic note. I was very pleased when I ate the scallops alone. 15 minutes later my main course of lamb and roasted vegetables arrived; it didn't take long before I went back for a second attempt. The veggies were barely lukewarm on arrival and the lamb I ordered medium rare was almost medium heavy. When I told the server, he asked me to cut deeper into the chop, which did not improve the skill. The temperature on the Veggies was not better on the second attempt, and the meat was closer to rare. The cook forgot to season, so it was a huge $86 failure. I might have had a bad experience, but the table next to me sent the majority of her steak back, so maybe it was just the night. Too bad. Unless you know someone who takes care of you, I recommend a hard pass and choose for the Big Mac and Fritten instead."
