"I just took the exit off the hwy, on my way over to Slingshot 's house for our monthly dinner when the Slingshot called and said "stop at Lou 's Takeaway Restaurant and pick up our order, it 'll be ready in 10 minutes "Just like him to invite me to a BBQ and then have me stop on the way to pick it up...and pay for it too!I was just happy it 's Lou 's Takeaway, they 've got the best fried chicken in Marin County, that 's for sure."

"I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious my bowl was! The prices were very reasonable, the toppings were unlimited, and the portion size was huge. I only wish they offered shrimp as a protein option, but the salmon and ahi tuna were equally delicious. There was plenty of seating and parking available as well. I highly recommend this place."

"Our local friends recommended this place. As others have already written, the quality must have gone way down, as we trust our friends but they had not been there for a few years.The service is horrendous, at best. Very long waits (even though there was only 3 other tables occupied when we were there dining in), orders messed up, missing pieces and when I mentioned that something was missing, the waiter said it wasn't. I am glad he is right and I am wrong. Three times in a row. Then we got the bill $380 for the 3 of us (me, wife, one small child). The sushi is actually not bad, so I hope the owner is reading this and does something about the service. I won't be back, but others will and they deserve a better experience. Eating sushi is not just about the food. It is also about the service. Too bad as I like to support local businesses and on their website, the story is cool has been around since 1990s, came over from Japan, etc... Maybe the owner does not care anymore or has even sold the place? Is he even around anymore? Not sure, but again, the service is horrible."

"I usually go to La Toscana, but I had heard great things about Gaspares. And they were true. The homemade and gnocchi and pente paste in vodka, sauce were excellent. The Caesar salad needed my night help, I still give a chance. A little dressed and only a crouton on family size. Talk to the service was great and they squeezed us on a Friday night. I'm definitely back for the full bar and pizza test."

"Short ribs were great. The Ramen itself was inedible, I have an incredibly high spice tolerance, but the way they made it was just inedible, not spicy, just absolutely destroyed the meal. They made a meal I ordered intolerably spicy when I ordered Regular Spice. I love spicy food, but this wasn't good, the ramen bowl was absolutely destroyed from the level of spice in a very bad way, couldn't taste anything, wasn't even worth eating half of it. So order the spice oil on the side if you actually want to enjoy your ramen at all..."

"Definitely a smaller location but in a very nice area. We happened to be in the area and decided to have dinner here. It was quite busy on a Friday night but we were able to get a table right away. Servers were very nice and food was great. We ordered the breadsticks, a margherita pizza to share and each got a pesto pasta with chicken. Everything was cooked well and tasted great. Honestly had no complaints at all. Would definitely come back to this location."

So I went in and asked if I could come into order, the type said yes, so I wait 5 minutes, then one dame came, said I must go to drive thru, I said I didn't bring my car. she took my order, but she gave me a sandwich with huh, which doesn't look good. they forgot to put the horses in order that the other one put them in the kitchen. I still said, thank you. When I came home, the koleslawe, no ketchup at all, and I couldn't eat that, because soo spicy. I forgot that there are 8 employees, I felt so embarrassing when I left the place because they looked at me as if I was the strange one. none of them apologised for their mistake. Never live in my life, leave a bad review like this, I did so so that they can fix the problem there. really poor service, not the best food in san rafael"

"This place is very popular with regulars. There is a tiny parking lot adjacent but it was completely full. We had to park about 2 blocks away on a dimly lit street. This is not a good neighborhood and it was a bit scary. The atmosphere was nice but the noise was so loud you could not speak without yelling. We were there on a Friday night. Reservations were for 6:30pm and we were seated at 7:05pm. Our waiter was great but there was lack of back up service like bringing us water or drinks. We ordered the special which was Salman over Lemon Risotto and Arugula salad on top. The flavors were wonderful but the Risotto was room temperature. This was my first experience here and I have mixed feelings. I would definitely go back and try it again!"

"Good family in the afternoon! As you know, I'm a delivery driver and I'm trying to go to new places I haven't been yet. So that day I was in San Raphael and it was finally able to go my lunch when I stumbled over this Hawaiian good place. I was greeted by a nice young woman who took my order, which lasted almost 15 minutes. I ordered their BBQ chicken lunch plate, the chicken was juicy, not too salty, the macaroni salad we very good and the rice was perfect."
