"!st time eating here, though we pass it every time we're in Steamboat. 4:30 reservation worked great for the happy hour and it wasn't busy. We opted to sit outside on the downstairs patio, which is away from the street so probably much quieter than the upper patio. By 5:30 families started piling in, so glad we got there early. The fig gorgonzola pizza was delicious as was the caesar salad. There is a pretty good wine list. Natasha, our server was awesome! We will definitely return."

"Pretty crowded on a Saturday of the President's day weekend waited about 30 min for a party of 4. Downstairs is a regular restaurant and upstairs it is more like a bar (which was pretty busy. There's a takeout window on the side of the building. The host recommended their classic double as their best traditional burger on the menu. Their dirty Harry is their famous burger on a glazed donut. The G4, Elmer Fudd, and the cheese steak are all excellent. The coupon book from my hotel has a coupon for this restaurant buy 2 burgers and get a 3rd free."

"Our server was amazing. 7:00 reservation, place was not busy. We sat at a corner table right next to another pair. We asked for one of the several empty tables through the window, overlooking the river. A little, but it happened. Food was meh. Risotto was overboiled and the squash in it was understated. We're not coming back."

"my wife and I are oil-free vegan, not the easiest people to cook. give the restaurant a few hours before our arrival to both confirm that they will take us and give them some time to prepare for such esoteric diet. the chef (turn nod), has made an exceptional job. really one of the best vegan meals I had last year. only one week spent in nyc and dined in some very well-known vegan facilities; the meal we had at the laundry was far above all we rehearsed in nyc. updated from previous review on 2016-08-10"

"During my vacation, I made a reservation at Ore House for 5pm on a Friday. The staff was great and the restaurant was very clean. I especially enjoyed the cowboy atmosphere. The drinks were strong and delicious. We ordered the French dip with asparagus and baked potato, as well as the 8 oz prime rib cooked medium rare. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and the flavor was amazing - probably the best prime rib I've ever had. Our waiter, Nate, was fantastic. To top off our meal, we had the Mud Pie for dessert, which was a total must-have."

"This was our first visit to this restaurant. The service was good, but we were disappointed by the food. I ordered the halibut, which was simple and tasted low quality, almost like it wasn't real halibut. My husband's steak was just average. Thankfully, there was a discount on entrees that made the meal more affordable, but even at half price, it wasn't worth it. We wouldn't pay full price for this meal."

"Amazing spot if you are ready to drop some money on some of the best food in Steamboat. A little hack is to show up between 430 and 6 for happy hour prices on some appetizers and the cocktails. And on this most recent visit we did just that starting with the Brussels Sprouts and Cauliflower wings. Choosing which one was my favorite legitimately ranked with one of toughest decisions of my life. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly seasoned with each one cooked to the perfect texture. But let me tell you, this Buffalo Cauliflower on the blue cheese sauce may have made a vegetarian out of me. Meanwhile this was all enhanced by perfectly balanced cocktails at happy hour prices. My personal favorite was the rusty nail. For the main course we finally settled on trying the duck. I admittedly have never really ordered Duck, but I would equate this one of the better Ribeyes I’ve ever had. Nice crispy melt in your mouth fat on top with medium rare buttery meat on the inside. Always leave here very happy I decided to come. The entrees are pretty pricey at around 40 per plate, but it is the type culinary experience where it’s well worth it in my opinion."

"Fun atmosphere, amazing rooftops seating, and good food at a good price! My husband and I had drinks, dinner, desert and a kids meal (for my daughter) for under $50. Con: Not all their staff is familiar with what’s vegan and not on their menu. I ate here once, then came back again and a different server explained that what I order before was vegetarian not vegan. Their veggie tacos have buttermilk in the batter."

"The pastrami sandwich is out of this world. It's definitely the best I've had. The meat is plentiful and perfectly salted, yet melt in your mouth tender. Perfectly toasted bread meets the melted cheese and sauerkraut to create the perfect bite. The pretzel with beer cheese is a great starter. The beer cheese is next level and adds so much flavour, I highly recommend it. The wings are also so good. Perfectly cooked, great sauce coverage. The only slight let-down was the blue cheese sauce could have a bit more blue cheese taste to it. The service is fantastic and the views are breathe taking."

"Excellent flavors and inventive dishes! The fried brussel sprouts was exploding with different flavors, the salmon ceviche and plantain chips were a good combo and tasted very fresh. Good cocktails too. Paella wasn't the best I've had but was the best in Colorado I've tried and is loaded with meat and seafood. We had the bread pudding for dessert and I'm not usually a bread pudding fan but it was great! A little expensive but happy hour is a good deal and it seems everything is pricey in this resort town anyway."

"Really really yummy!!! Got some delicious appetizers, I definitely recommend the calamari!!! Main dish of alfredo pasta was awesome and flavorful. I ended my meal with tiramisu which I can say with confidence is the best I’ve ever had. Wonderful!!!"

"We absolutely loved everything we tried here. Prices were reasonable for being on resort. Food was simultaneously unique and delicious: offering original combinations of flavors and interesting ingredients. This paradigm also applies to their signature cocktails, of which I tried 4. I can honestly say that everything was delicious. Presentation of the food was also excellent. Service was prompt, but friendly. Atmosphere was casual and not overwhelming. Extensive wine list. "We came at Happy Hour and the prices were great and food was excellent. The lobster Mac and cheese, bacon wrapped dates and steak kabobs were delicious and portions huge. Then had rib eye sandwich and burger that were huge. Kids menu also huge. Our waiter Gibson was super nice and then they gave our 11 year old a fantastic chocolate desert for his birthday. The setting on the river is really pretty and western decor is cool."

"Was looking forward to Carls and it was such a disappointment unfortunately. Front of house were friendly and happily moved us from the table by the entrance to a less draughty spot when we asked. Server was smiley and took our order efficiently. That 's where the good part ended sadly. Ordered Buffalo Wings, Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich and 2 'Medium ' Burgers. Wings were tough. The chicken tasted old, definitely not fresh rotisserie. The end of the baguette was also hard again not fresh. Our 2 medium burgers arrived well done and rare. The server didn 't check in to see how the food was .... (maybe she knew! We offered our thoughts when asked if wanted more drinks. Solution offered was to put the rare burger back on the grill. Not ideal. No discount offered. I know it 's coming to the end of the season but this is fundamental stuff. Won 't be returning or recommending this place unfortunately."
