"First time dining at Bluestone and our overall experience was good. Nice atmosphere, great place to dine and celebrate as many were doing, as well as us. Our welcome wasn’t the warmest but despite that we proceeded to be seated ….after that our experience improved. Our waiter, Dennis, was good helpful and polite; so were the other waiters that brought food to our table. We met Jeremy, Go Birds! The food was very good. We will return in the future."

"The lady who works at the front register is very, very rude With the customer. She makes you feel not welcome to purchase food from cafe. One time I did not leave a tip and she looked at me very ugly and laughed as I walked away. I will not be retuning to this cafe for lunch."

"Food was fantastic. Server was also fantastic and knowledgeable guiding us from appetizer and salad pairing to choosing the best Pino noir to have with our short ribs. Spot on perfect. The chef explained his preparation of his short ribs and how he removed the bones, fat and gristle leaving only the perfectly cooked meat. Delicious"

"haven't been inside seating at mezza for a covid while! my husband had a hankering for their tortilla soup, so full of flavor and loaded with chicken worth the $12+ for a bowl. Prices on other items have increased, thought about oriental salad but at $17+ decided I wasn't that hungry. Know that covid has caused distress for many food service establishments and employees, and we will continue to eat at this delicious place. But, in my eyes I don't think of the interior as upscale and probably our threshold of prices is at its max."

"Babysitters, pardon this old cliche, but “I’ve died and gone to heaven” is all that I could think of. In this case, a slice of heaven was right here at Killen’s of The Heights Restaurant!! Today was my dear Mother’s X3rd birthday (she’s giving me the side eye thinking that I divulged her age and my crew of eight (consisting of friends and family rolled into Killen’s with thoughts of gluttony dancing in our famished heads. Although we made reservations, it wasn’t as busy and tumultuous as it can get on occasion. See, in the South, we love good southern cooking (kin folk, that’s just the inner loop folks way of saying “soul food” and we love to let everyone around us know how much we love it. Our server, Ashley (a-dor-a-ble! and I were helping my friends and family by recommending such Killen’s favorites as the seafood platter with that wonderful catfish and shrimp, mind blowing BBQ plate, and chicken fried steak so delicious it makes you want to slap yo’ Mama (just a southern saying, Babysitters! She’s giving me the side eye again . The proportions were generous, and the creamed corn was dy-na-mite! Oh, Lort! I felt like I had kicked the winning field goal by introducing my family to this Houston institution and made this a memorable birthday for my Mom. Thank you Killen’s! As usual, you were on point and you made my Mom feel like a million bucks on her special day. . Bon appetite, Ya’ll."

"First time at London Cafe April 23 Sunday, 2 pm. Not very busy so no waiting. Service was immediate and thoughtful. No ambiance to speak of, i.e, tables chairs in a plain, well-lit, uncluttered space, which is fine with me. Two in our party had breakfast fare and two of us had the Rueben sandwich. One friend had eggs Benedict and said the hollandaise sauce was excellent. Another had the special which included crepes which she claimed were perfect. Both of us having the Reuben were less pleased and agreed there was very little sauerkraut which made it a corned beef sandwich. The meat was very good, but it just wasn 't what we ordered. However, overall it was a pleasant meal and I 'll go back to try more offerings on their menu. Breakfast is served all day, but isn 't your run-of-the-mill Southern food. Crepes, jazzed up waffles/pancakes, and interesting pairings are to be found at the London."

"Paradise for indecisive eaters: Chinese food or Latin-American? Why not both!? Authentic and copious portions for the entire family to delight. The owner and staff were stellar hosts, recommending items and unique combinations. For example; we ordered the Tostones con Ajo and a side Crab Salad and WAO!!! My family has automatically converted this place in out go-to resto."

"This dessert place could pretty much be a dessert MEAL as you can see they are generous with their portions. Granted it is mostly ice, but perceptions mean a lot in this industry! I am usually not a fan of super sweet things but I LOVED the fruity pebble Bingsu! It was perfect. I am drooling writing this review as it’s been a few months since I’ve been back. So yeah, definitely sharing sizes. I’m also a huge fan of their Taiyaki- a fish-design dessert that you can choose the filling to. I usually pick custard and I can definitely eat more than 2 or 3 of those in one sitting. They make everything fresh to order so it’s not sitting out for hours waiting to be sold. The prices are a bit on the high side for dessert. However, considering they are sharing portions, and how delicious they are, I highly support this dessert bar. Can’t wait to go back!!"

"I have eaten here 3 times Uber Eats and today will be my 4th time dine in. I chose a fried chicken sandwich and a small order of onion rings. You can pick whether you want the chicken to be grilled or fried. I wanted to try the Gochujang (Korean red chili paste) and I was not disappointed. It's a sticky, sweet, savory, with a mild spice (not really spicy) but overall balance flavor. It's a messy entree. Instead of a chicken breast, they gave me two big seasoned chicken tenders covered in the Gochujang top with lettuce and tomato. The batter used for the tenders was excellent. They didn't just slapped flour onto the meat and slather sauce. Nothing will hide bad food if you know what good cooking is about. Onion rings were crispy. Nice crunch. I wish I asked for a large. The small wasn't enough! I love that the consistency hasn't changed during my experiences."

"This is one of the places I visit when I’m craving seafood. There were two of us and I ordered the spicy shrimp n crab plate (with two boiled eggs), medium shrimp fried rice, and fried okra. The shrimp n crab plate and fried okra was more than enough for the two of us so we saved the shrimp fried rice for dinner. Their star sauce is amazing and goes well with the shrimp and crab as well as a dipping sauce. Love it. Will be back."

"I was using Houston Metro to get back to my car after a fleet vehicle pick up. The stop where I changed busses was right next to Barnaby's and it was lunch time so I went in. I was a bit taken aback by the lunch prices but I figured it was just a function of being downtown and life under the current administration. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and it was great! The chips that came with it were fantastic; must be made in house. I ate half and took half home and the chips were still great after being microwaved! An unexpected pleasure!"

"Didn't taste the food we left before ordering it Walked in the place had 1 patron, not an issue. We tried to sit at 3 different tables which were dirty. We stood there as the girls in the from chatted with another patron for a while. Just waiting for some acknowledgement. I decided to walk over and asked for help with wiping down the table. We got our menus. We ordered drinks but were told that the soda machines were not working. Ordered water and a tea. Which took longer than it should while the chatting continued with the customer. We decided to leave. The front area was unattended during this time . I almost peaked my head into the back. A guy walked by with his drink in hand. I asked to cancel out drink order.she had just finished making tea drink. I still paid for the drink. The water had not been made yet. We really wanted Vietnamese food but due to the lack of attention given to customers and the dirty tables we decided to go. This was a Saturday afternoon."

Food was disappointing. teriyaki chicken skewers were bone dry and overcooked. sushi was meh. really the whole meal was sub par. and the service was indifferent, just saw our waiter when ordering and when getting the check. i went home regretting that i'd given him a decent tip."
