"Best REUBENS ever! It was difficult to even consider ordering anything but their fabulously giant meaty and delicious corned beef Reuben... But then I tried the Gateway’s ROAST BEEF MELT. It’s kind of like a Beef on Weck (without the standard salty Buffalo kimmelweck bun or horseradish) mashed up with a French Dip and they’ve added grilled/ caramelized onions plus just a touch of mustard and melted Provolone ... Incredible meld of flavors! Another favorite is the Italian Melt, which hits the spot just right if you’re feeling you need something a little meaty, a little spicy, a little cheesy. Yum!! The Cuban melt was also really great, but it was skimpy on meat so I went back to my favorite Reuben. Homemade soup selection is amazing! They usually offer six choices throughout soup kind of weather, rotating favorites and featuring interesting specials. Many creative and delicious varieties to choose from. They’ve done Reuben soup, Banana Pepper Mac and Cheese soup, Stuffed Pepper soup, Lasagna soup, Cheeseburger soup, Thanksgiving Dinner soup and more. It’s so hard to choose! Many soups come with little packs of toppings for you to add: various cheeses, a pinch of breadcrumbs, sour cream; or cranberry plus a bit of stuffing for the Thanksgiving soup. Plus a chunk of toasted bread and standard Saltines to go along. We order Gateway takeout for work every week. They’re fast typically 20 to 30 minutes for orders but more importantly, they’re incredibly consistent in offering delicious food that fills your belly and makes you happy at a good price! Great food, great service. After 9 months of weekly orders, the only remotely critical observations I can offer are: once we didn’t get a lot of meat in the Pot Roast soup... a few times the soup was very salty... and they always pack the napkin and salt/ pepper packs inside the container (where condensation or grease can get to them)... All extremely minor things, right? Consider starting with something other than the Reuben, because it’s entirely possible you won’t even want to want to try anything else on the menu after you eat that Reuben. They’re really that addictive. It’s crazy. There’s rarely been a week where we haven’t ordered at least one, and sometimes every one of us get the Reuben. What are you waiting for?? Go get some Gateway. Make your belly happy. And write a review. Then get more Gateway."
