"A HEARTILY WELCOME AND A FAMILY VIBE... A MUST IF YOU ARE IN WHEATLAND WY AND WANNA HAVE A GREAT MEAL! This review is based solely on my own experience and personal opinion. I went to the Western Sky's Diner on a Wednesday noon, 1/19/22, and it was my first time. FOOD: I ordered a house salad with Caesar dressing, then Mashed potatoes and green peas. and afterwards I ordered a Caramel smothered blueberry pancake as a desert. to drink... black coffee! HOUSE SALAD fresh ingredients and very nice dressing. I enjoyed it. MASHED POTATOES homemade mashed potatoes... classic Russet potatoes with its slightly wrinkly brown skin and multi-purpose texture, is a very nice meal that has become a rare find. Just small family run diners can offer such a treat. Clearly fresh Ingredients where the secrets of such a fluffy, creamy and flavorful meal. I truly enjoyed it. GREEN PEAS: Crunchy outside and soft inside, cooked to perfection. They had a nice gravy-like cream on top, so flavorful. CARAMEL SMOTHERED BLUEBERRY PANCAKE: Hot, soft and sweet... quite the treat, Wow! hadn't had a fluffy and flavorful pancake like this in quite a while. Fluffy pancake that would melt in your moth at each bite... The Sweetness of the Caramel balanced by the tartness of the Blueberries... just amazing. I loved it!! STAFF: very friendly, all of them. friendly, nice and helpful. great customer service and great customer experience. You can really tell that they do their best, welcoming each and every customer just like you would welcome a friend to your home. Family run diner, and I had the pleasure to interact with the three women who serve in the restaurant. PLACE: it is a cool place. country style, with country/retro' style furniture and decor... They have some unique and cool photos and pieces of decor. The overall look is pleasant and relaxing. Teh Uniqueness of this place is not in its design though, but in the way that each of those pieces of decor/furnishing connect the place to the Wheatland community. CLEANLINESS: The place is clean and neat. All of the ladies working here constantly clean table and floor after each guest leaves their table. They clean and sanitize surfaces. RESTROOMS: restrooms were nice and clean. Hot water, paper towel, hand soap and toilet paper available. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a clean restroom. PRICES: average prices for a family run diner. CONCLUSIONS: It was a great experience and I'll definitely go back when I'm around wheatland WY again. Thanks."

"I see the owner is active. So I hope this finds them. First, love A&W, float was amazing like always. Second, we went to use my birthday reward, but there are no scanners, it's a let down when franchises are not consistent with their chains. 3rd, I give this a 5-star because of Mike, elder gentleman working the register. He was amazing! Super friendly, accommodated the coupon anyways, and was nice in the explanation. I'd come back just for his service. Thanks"

"We ordered dinner here a couple of months ago and weren’t disappointed. We had no idea they offered so much more than Pho and love that they do. Service was so friendly and nice and our food was piping hot. The place is super small and dining in doesn’t offer much space or privacy, but its clean, and efficient. We enjoyed all of our food, but I wouldn’t try the orange chicken again, the taste was way too sour for us, but the sweet and sour pork and broccoli beef was delicious. Thank you again for the hospitable service and friendliness. We’ll be back!Vegetarian options: Lots of veggies options on the menuKid-friendliness: I saw children and families dining there while picking up food."

"Wanted to try for months and finally did a couple of weeks ago. Best burger and fries I've had in ages. Then went again the following week and shared a french dip with my neighbor at the bar. Zen was so sweet and friendly. Hope to go again soon!"

"We’ve been here a few times. First. The staff has always been awesome and gracious. The kitchen can be spotty in its performance. This go round was a questionable Ceasar’s Salad. The dressing was great. But numerous pieces of lettuce had brown spots. We alerted the serving staff and they offered to make another salad or remove it from the bill. We chose the latter. The entrees came. My dining partner ordered the lamp chops. They were beautifully plated. She said they tasted wonderfully. They appeared to be spot on. She would order them again. I ordered the sea bass. It was cooked beautifully. Unfortunately the sauce was a mismatch for the fish. Quite a bit of heat to the point it overpowered the delicate fish by an ever increasing margin. The dessert — almond cake — was very good. We’d order it again. We like this restaurant and try to provide the staff with constructive criticism hoping they improve for our next visit. The restaurant itself is beautiful with nice furnishings. Staff is always friendly. Their beer and wine list offers good choices."

"It was alright, nothing to note. Plenty of parking, friendly staff and obviously free drinks refils. They have all sorts of sauces including Arby's sauce that I couldn't figure out. The potato cakes were nice almost like a fat hash brown. Unfortunately this morning they didn't have chicken but got the roast beef burger which tasted nice. The buns were soft but there wasn't any particular sauce to taste in the burger. Interestingly options for fries but choose the curly fries which was nice. They also had these bells to ring near the exits for showing gratitude towards the service if it was good. Clean toilet is also a plus."

"Manager made my sandwich along with my family’s and was quite rude. She was also rude to the customers before and after us. She didn’t really wait to listen to our orders and made our sandwiches pretty sloppy."

"I ordered the new taco pizza and it was so good. I was surprised how big it is. To much for one person unless your have a huge appetite . I had alot left over hopefully I can warm it up and eat later. Last week I got the taco bravo and it was really good too.Several cars ahead of me, but it was not a long wait. Young lady at window was very pleasant which makes it nice. Thank you Taco John's for a very good experience and very good food."

"Oh, how sad I am to write this review. The pizza is outstanding. The bagels are sad, gummy pizza dough imposters of that morning favorite. And, the counter help is not helpful. When we ordered two slices of pizza we were told they only had one. Min husband had to ask if they had a slice of sausage pizza. The gal at the counter said, no. What ensures was a blank stare. So, I asked, what are all the slices you DO have? It was pulling teeth for what should be expected counter help. Stay away from the bagels and stick with the pizza. The pizza is FANTASTic. Truly after two visits with relatively unimpressive customer service and one of three worst bagels I have ever had, I had no choice but to fairly rate Yacco 's with only three stars, even though the pizza rivals true mom and pops east coast pizza."

"We always drive by this restaurant on our way home, and decided to pop in yesterday. The service was quick right away the salsa was sooo homemade fresh. We have a toddler in tow, and we couldn't believe how clean the high chairs were here. A lot of restaurants forget to clean them throughly. In fact, the entire place was SOOO clean... even the menus. We ordered a lot! Fish tacos, CA burrito, bean cheese burrito Torta, margarita, beers, and all was great! The pricing was good too. The two servers were working their tails off and were so friendly attentive our entire meal. It was so enjoyable delicious. We will absolutely be back over and over! My only feedback would be about the presentation... Wheatland has a taqueria and taco trucks, so being that this is a restaurant and a sit down experience, they should present the meals better. Our dinner was served all wrapped in foil (like a taco truck) was on 6 different types of plates. I would say if they can get the meals to look as good as they taste, that would set them apart from other nearby Mexican food options."

"I came by for a quick glass of wine and an appetizer. I didn?t expect to be blown away right at the gate. Sandy is amazing! I couldn?t decide where to sit so she pointed out the special features of the restaurant and was really patient with me. I ended up sitting in the main dining room by myself where I could see the open kitchen. After I ordered my dad and stepmom surprised me just to hang out. And without them ordering anything they were able to accommodate us with a bigger table and another bread tray. Then the crab cakes came and I was done. Just look at the picture! I can?t wait to come back for a full course and enjoy the experience again. Their wine list is extensive. And it truly is an experience when you come to Council Oaks."
