"Who doesn 't like tacos? More importantly, who doesn 't like it when the tacos you desire come to you? That is the singular thing that puts Laguna near the top of my chart when it comes to taco places. While there are places that might have some better food, none will bring them to your house, and honestly? When you are diagnosed with COVID and can 't go get your own tacos, the taco that comes to you is clearly superior.Okay, so none of that reads as a rave review, but I want you dear reader to understand the importance of having tacos that get delivered can be :)Now to the serious review.I got a steak taco, a chorizo and potato taco, cheese quesadilla with sour cream and salsa, chips and salsa, and caramel churros with vanilla and chocolate ice cream. It was delivery, and the hots arrived hot and the colds arrived cold. Good start. My ice cream went in the freezer (the reason why I don 't have a picture of it in my main photo) right away and everything else got ripped open so I could drive in.The quesadilla was meh. I think that the delivery aspect might have impacted the quality the tortilla was not as crisp as it should have been. I probably should have tossed it in a frying pan for awhile, but I was hungry as could be, so I forged ahead. The cheese is one note, mild cheddar seeming nothing surprising or worth raving about. The salsa was good, but the sour cream was very loose textured it was not as thick as sour cream ought to be. Still, it wasn 't bad just not good. The chips and salsa were tasty. The chips were thickish, crisp and not over salted. I kinda wish I had gotten guac for them. I had added them to my order on a whim, wanting to simulate that unending chips and salsa that you usually get at Mexican restaurants for my home delivered experience. They were a delight, and I had enough chips leftover after dinner to have with my lunch on the next day.The tacos are where it 's at. Both tacos had ample filling more than any other taco place puts and the fillings were delicious. The chorizo potato was the clear winner for me, but the steak taco was also good. If you try ANYTHING from Laguna, I strongly suggest you try a taco and prepare to be impressed. The caramel churros and ice cream that was a pleasant addition to my meal. The ice cream itself was not bad I 've had better and worse for sure but having pretty okay ice cream on REALLY GOOD churros? Now that is a winning combination. So, in my book, Don Nacho was the best place for tacos in the city. Note the was. Laguna delivers a street style taco that tops Don Nacho 's, and does so with ease. While their menu lacks the depth of Don Nacho 's the wide variety of Mexican food that Don Nacho 's offers dwarfs the variety offered by Laguna (who chose to diversify into pizza and grinders instead of being a purely Mexican food centered restaurant) Laguna does tacos at an entirely different level. So, in summation if you want street tacos the two layers of corn tortillas with some delicious filling come here. If you can 't leave the house, know that they will come to you. You will not be disappointed."
