"I first came to dinner menu and ordered the cadjau. the court was bright and vacant with taste. especially I enjoyed the plucked celery, such an interesting detail! the food was so good and the lunch menu looked even better, so the next day I booked a table for lunch. I had the rave and the vertebrae. I loved the bee particularly. textures and aromes were well thought out. for the desert I had the best sherbet I had ever had! everything was delicious and I really enjoyed talking to the front of the house staff. I was not rushed and they had excellent recommendations."

"While wandering around Ghost Town Kiruna in -20c weather, we were searching for a spot to warm up with some hot food and drinks. It appeared this was the only place open at the time. However, all they had to offer was filter coffee and hot water - nothing else. It left us wondering if the establishment was in the midst of relocating or simply didn't want any customers at all."

"I would say an almost unmissable dining experience in Bergen. Set in a beautiful historical building along the famous waterfront, siting inside is an experience in itself. The service was excellent, attentive and breaks between courses. The fish soup, fried catfish and fish duo I can personally recommend. Then for dessert there is only one choice, the brown cheese ice cream. Our waiter Frank, who again was excellent the whole time strongly recommended it to us and I was so wrong to initially doubt him, it is truly delicious"

"During my travels through Norway I had the pleasure of visiting Bergen for two days and stumbled upon Bare Vestland. It was a wonderful dining experience. I was seated at the kitchen view table and watched the chefs take great pride in their creations. The menu is simple and each dish is prepared to perfection. The dishes were presented with an explanation that showed serving staff shared the enthusiasm for the food quality. Each dish I tried was full of flavors, textures, temperatures and colors. I only wish I were in town a couple more days to experience the full menu. I have dined at about 25 fine restaurants in Norway and this is the best. The price was also below the median. Great place."

"Lovely staff beers of varying quality, the hankdank west coast IPA was well made and balanced and quite tasty as it warmed up and definitely the best beer i tried, the wiess beer lacked body though the bananary yeast esters were present, the lack of body in the beer let it down, the barrel aged pastry stout at 13% packed a punch but the amount of vanilla flavour was very overpowering and any other flavour was totally drowned out a poor example at best and a shame because with a dialling back of the vanilla this would have been nice i think... Good atmosphere and nice staff which is y it gets 4 stars..."

"First I’ll say that I feel bad leaving a negative review as everyone we interacted was kind and trying their best. With that being said, I’m a bit baffled by our experience. The reviews are fantastic, but we did not enjoy it and it didn’t seem like an off night but rather a lack of attention to detail and quality. First, our waiter seemed inexperienced and not ready to be on his own. He had a hard time describing dishes and was just awkward in his interactions with us. The food was generally not memorable. Our first dish was a whale carpaccio which was exciting to try and I thought it was good but my fiancé did not enjoy it, and I imagine it’s not a big hit with international travelers. The main fish dish was totally over salted and the lowlight. I had been thinking of a three star review beforehand, but this was the point where I felt the experience had garnered a one star review. Before our main dish came out there was a shellfish tower that was an add on to the five course menu. We opted not to get it. Half the dining room did and as they ate it the rest of us sat around for 45 minutes waiting for the next course. Overall there was a lack of pacing to the meal and we spent a lot of time waiting. There seemed to be a lack of organization, waiters came out with food then went back to the kitchen several times or didn’t seem to know where they were going. We weren’t given a beverage list which was odd. One dish was dropped off, the waiter mentioned he’d be back to describe it and then went to another table to serve them and then came back to us. We’ve never had that happen before. People were brought to the wine cellar by one waiter and another one had brought a separate group so they awkwardly waited for the others in the hallway. There were other little oddities I can’t recall as well. Overall it’s a cute concept and the space was beautiful, but there are much better ways to spend $100+ on a dinner experience. "Great, cozy little restaurant. Excellent menu selection and warm, friendly staff. I had the venison filet from the Christmas menu and my dining room companion had the cured meat and cheese plate. My dish was delicious and it was much bigger than expected, but also delicious. Also recommend the chocolate fondant dessert. Make a reservation as the tables fill quickly, especially at weekends. You are lucky if you appear as a party of two, but only if you are ready to din and that (so to speak) at a previously reserved table."

"The restaurant has a pleasant and cozy atmosphere. The service was attentive, and the waitress kindly suggested dishes in English. The steaks here are above average in quality. We tried the entrecôte with fries and the Jack Daniels steak with creamed potatoes. The entrecôte is the better choice for beef (recommended) and is priced accordingly. Both the fries and creamed potatoes that accompanied the dishes were excellent."

"The food was good, the staff was nice and hard working, and the location is superb. But the shortage of staff ruined our visit. You will need a lot of time if you visit this place. We got an excellent table by the window. Then the waiting started. First for the menu, then for the attention from a waiter to take our order. This restaurant demands a high degree of patience from the guests, When at last the food arrived, the burger was really good. When the youngest member of our group expressed his joy for the chipotle sauce, he immediately got a second portion, Nice. Then there was the waiting for an opportunity to pay, It took a long time, We observed the staff members running out of their shoes to satisfy the guests, Why can`t the management ensure sufficient staff on a beautiful summer day in Molde? In spite of a decent burger, this was a frustrating experience. We visited the restaurant on Wednesday, July 15, 2021, from 14.00 to... who knows when we managed to leave...:"

"We had made a booking later but as we were hungry and in the area, we went to try our luck to be seated earlier. Even though it was the national day, we were met with big smiles and a table was arranged in no time! We both had the frilled salmon, which was lovely! The menu doesn’t have much variety but bet all is done with extra care! The menu being a newspaper was a fun touch."

Book ahead and be sure to start with the delicious whale carpaccio that melts in your mouth. The menu pays homage to Norwegian food traditions so don't expect fancy emulsions or whatever is trending, just great quality produce cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the classic dish of fried cod tongues, but the rosemary lamb was probably the star of our evening. Expensive, but worth it."

"Very current, traditional Norwegian fast food, which was very good for a fast lunch or snack! We ordered fishball soup and fish cake plates, both dishes are very good, but I come back, I would just order the fishball soup! It is warm, creamy, fish ball are soft and quite delicate! We've seen how many locals eat here, we're the only foreigners. Staff are able to communicate in English to take your order. Menu also includes English translation!"
