"I prebooked this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews saying how welcoming and cosy. I arrived a few minutes early, they couldn 't find my booking. I was told Sit there , then a menu was just chucked down on the table at me. I went for the set menu, the food came out very quickly, with virtually no time between courses. It felt like a conveyer belt. The food was average, more like home style cooking than anything restaurant worthy, it certainly did not justify the price tag, even for Norway. I observed other diners and how they were greeted, all the same poor service. At the end of my meal I asked for the bill and the bill and a card machine were just placed in front of me, with no explanation. Bill was 850Kr, and I chose NOT to leave a tip. So disappointing. Staff were rude, tables were very close together and diners were just rushed through to get more covers. Food was mediocre, elk carpaccio was tasteless and very wet, reindeer stew was just dgavings if meat rather than chunks of steak, dessert was unremarkable. Utterly appalled. Sad end to what otherwise has been an amazing holiday."
