"My wife and I went to 128 Cafe for our first time on Mother's Day, 2016. We have lived within 10 miles of this location for almost 35 years but had never been to this restaurant. We had a great brunch meal for Mother's Day. The food was delicious, the service prompt and courteous, the setting was delightful. We can't wait until we can try an evening dinner at this hidden gem in St. Paul."

The roasted garlic with toasts, chutney and apple slices--coupled with the Argyle sparking wine--was an excellent start to the meal. The nettle soup was as beautiful as it was tasty--and not something you find on very many menus ...sadly).

This cafe is a true little gem. I took my mom here for Mothers Day we can't wait to go back! The staff was very attentive kind. The food was phenomenal! The chef changes the menu often to keep fresh, local foods on the table. This is a wonderful place for lunch with a good friend or a good old date night. I will definitely return.
