"I freaking love and adore Abyssinian Kitchen beyond words. For me, they are the GOLD STANDARD of Ethiopian Food. The Holy Grail of Ethiopian food! I've probably been to 40 50 Ethiopian restaurants throughout my life, and I think I've been to every Ethiopian restaurant in Portland. Abyssinian is hands down the Highest Quality, the most exquisite recipes, the food is to die for. Because I'm completely obsessed with Ethiopian food and go everywhere, if it's not as good as Abyssinian Kitchen, my response is generally Meh. Great Ethiopian food! Loved the appetizers and entrees. Good sized portions, great staff and quite indoor seating as well as a couple nice outdoor seating options.

Amazing samosas and beet salad. We also loved the house made ginger lemonade with vodka. We definitively need to come back for a proper dinner sometime. Edit: we came back for dinner and it was lovely.
