"Food was amazing. Bbq Rib plate was delicious and cooked for perfection. Mac n cheese was on point with the perfect amount of cheese. Green beans were very delicious. Hush puppies were crispy and damp. The Bbq sauce was sweet with a little bite, in fact the best I ever had. I'll be back soon."

The food is delish! The pig dogs are good when you catch them. I enjoyed the greens and Yams!

Best comfort food east! Food is good, orders are always right, and delicious. The fried chicken is crispy outside and juicy inside. The roasted Okra and Mac and cheese are perfect! Top it all with banana pudding and you should find yourself in a heavenly food coma. Very recommended!

Suzanne has captured the elegance and sophistication of a 1930’s classic restaurant. Easy listening jazz ambiance. A must for your visit to Washington, NC. The downtown area is very charming right on the waterfront. We had the smashburger …..was the best we’ve ever had. The combination of the bacon, the jam and the Burger patties was fantastic. The Shrimp and Grits were the best we’ve ever had as well. The toffee bread pudding was a superb way to end the wonderful meal !! Incredible culinary experience."

"We have eaten at Franks many times over the years. Last time there was minimal meat in the steak Cheese sub. Tonight we ordered a steak and cheese with no Mayo and our lettuce, tomato, and extra pickles on the side. We got a foot long sub. On the side we had minimal lettuce, 1 1/2 slices of tomato and one pickle spear. Called and spoke with a young lady who was very nice and then received a call back from the owner Vinnie. He was extremely unfriendly and said we did not ask for extra pickles, that only one pickle spear goes on a foot long sub and that one slice of tomato on each half. Wow! I was truly surprised at his manner as I believed him to be a nice person. Like I said, we have been customers for years and the food used to be the best but will prob never return to a place where the owner called to argue and show disrespect."

"The experience of just picking up my food was very uncomfortable. When walking up to the restaurant door a lady rushed to the door before I could fully enter the restaurant to see if I was getting food to go. When answering her she just made face and walked away. I did not receive a greeting at all just a what did you order. I had to verify my order three times although I placed it online. The customers and staff were all staring at me as of I shouldn't be there. That was the worst experience, as a black woman, I have ever had. Never eating there again"
