"Cali Burrito-try harder The man at the counter was very nice. I asked him a question- something that I 've been very curious about. I had previously ordered Nachos here- well over a year ago after some people suggested we try this place out- the cheese came out not melted. I had never had nachos before with unmelted cheese. So, I kindly asked the guy why they don 't melt the cheese. He looked at me like I was nuts, like who the heck melts cheese on nachos? He then (verynicely I must add) explained to me they don 't have anything to melt the cheese with so they leave it raw...I was so surprised to hear they had no broiler- oven or anything to melt. They operate with only a fryer and flat top...

I tried the Carne Asada Taco there. Absolutely amazing! Clean, cool vibe, and delicious. I will definitely return for more tacos. I can?t wait to try a burrito next time.

The food tasted just like back home in California. It was nice to find a good quality taco shop in such a small town so far away from California. The salsas were all really good as well.

I went to Cali Burrito yesterday, and I had two Carnitas Tacos. My wife and I moved to TN from Southern California 3 years ago, and have been looking for an informal Mexican Restaurant comparable to our favorites in CA since then. I have finally found what I have been looking for in Cali Burrito. Whenever I visit a Mexican Restaurant for the first time, I always try their carnitas. I believe that if a Mexican Restaurant has good carnitas, that is a very good sign that therest of their food will also be good. My Carnitas Tacos were excellent. The pork was crispy and juicy and NOT oily. You simply can't ask for more. My wife and I will be back to Cali Burrito soon and often.
