"The dim sum is mostly hits and some misses. The service is by far the worst I've experienced in San Mateo. Every employee is either too busy to talk to customers or clueless about what they should do. Many dishes came without the appropriate condiments and each time it took a long while before someone stops pretending they don't see you and bring it to you. No chance I'm coming back here."

We came here for mother's day dinner. Haven't been to Champagne for a couple of years. The food is still good. They are a lot smaller than before. And I was surprised how uncrowded it was for mother's day. Oh forgot to add that they changed us 18% service charge on the bill.

The food is decent and tasty! My favorite is the bean curd roll, pork belly, and steamed bun. However, the service has room for improvement and the environment needs to be cleaner. When we went there, the floor was pretty dirty and wet due to the previous customer spill the tea.

Interesting selection of dim sum and chef’s specials. Worth noting are the families with at least three generations who were enjoying their family meal together an endorsement of the cuisine and welcoming atmosphere. Could have given 5 stars if the dim sum had more intensity of flavors and aromas that one would expect to get in Hong Kong.
