"Seriously does this restaurant pick locations like, hey this looks like absolute hell for people to get in to and leave, yup let's put it here. Texas drivers are bad enough, you also have insurance so maybe having this cluster of cars coming both directions is a bad idea. Make sure to lawyer up with accidents that could happen here. Parking: They set it up like an accident trap. 2 lines coming together from opposite directions. Make sure to lawyer up here if hit. Wheelchair accessibility: Good luck trying to get access."

"This is a local small business so please support. My review however is honest. The gumbo is actually pretty good and taste like a rough is made daily. I also order the crab cake for an appetizer and it was good just quite a bit of filling and not enough crab. The ambiance is very Mardi Gras which is something I love they're incorporating the Cajun. However the entree I ordered was fried catfish and shrimp and the shrimp were like the ones you get at the store and place in the oven. The fish was fried but not catfish it was the Swai fish. I'm giving three stars simply for the appetizers and stellar service."

"A neighbor told us about this gem, and we are SO glad we tried it. Our first time was for a date night. I had the French dip and my then boyfriend had the club sandwich. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious! Their portions are hearty and we had leftovers. The au jus was very yummy to dip my sandwich in!Fast forward and we liked Walter's Tavern so much we had our wedding reception/dinner there! The stuffed catfish is out of this world! Everyone really enjoyed the versatility of the menu and being able to select a meal of their choice. It always comes out fresh and you can tell they make everything in house with pride!Our most recent visit we tried the fried artichokes! WOW! Those will now be a must every visit! Walter's Tavern is on our regular rotation and a place we always take people visiting!"

"Food was typical, or even a step above, for a Tap House and with not many options in the area after a hot day at the lake we were happy to cool off and get a quick bite.Our waitress was kind and attentive. I would have appreciated her letting us know there was a charge for every refill of the fountain drinks especially when she brought one that we didn’t ask for nor even drink. $1.50/drink X a large family adds up and means our avg meal price point was $20/person…this restaurant really didn’t warrant that price point increase.I cannot remember the last time we were charged for soft drink refills and even then the waiter/ress let us know there would be a charge.I would have liked a REAL ticket to be able to look over rather than just pay on the hand held toast device with the waitress/er standing over me. It was hard to see what we were actually paying for and awkward to select a tip with her watching.Doubtful we will be back."
