First time here in a very long time. Actually thought it was closed! Based on other good reviews, we gave it another try. Food was good, not stellar. My husband tried the biscuits and gravy. The sausage was tasty but two large patties is more than anyone needs. Toast was homemade bread and that WAS stellar! Eggs were fresh and cooked perfectly to order. Service was attentive until a bunch of large groups came in wanting to be seated together. The three women working were running trying to accommodate, which left those of us already there to fend for ourselves, but understandable. They were working very hard. We will be back. Always friendly and fast service. Bait tackle, guns ammo, gas and convenience store, and an excellent place to sit down and enjoy or take out very good food with an up north atmosphere and the family, friendly feel you expect from up north Minnesota. Wonderful experience! From the locals to the restaurant to the employees, we didn’t just feel welcomed, we felt at home. My husband and I went to the restaurant for take out this morning and we were pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. We were obviously out of place and everyone we encountered went out of their way to welcome us. The food was fantastic! I ordered the country friend steak and eggs. It was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy. He couldn’t say enough about how tasty it was. He LOVED the biscuits.
