"This restaurant is in an old building, but the inside is well worth it with hot fresh old-fashioned homemade food, nice sweet waitresses, the best tea you could ever imagine and biscuits to die for. We had to open face turkey sandwich with fried okra and mashed potatoes and the patty melt with french fries. I give this place five stars all the way !!! I would come back and I would lose every paycheck to this business, if I had to rely on somebody cooking for me. . Do not pass this for breakfast or lunch. We came on a Sunday and they close at 2 o’clock, but they have an all you can eat buffet with the special pot roast, which is a family style with all the fixings, mac cheese, mashed potatoe...

It was busy but we sat outside to view the mountains which was awesome. The service was excellent, the food looked amazing and tasted fantastic. Very rarely is perfect in food service a reality but today this place did it. If you're in town, it's a must go. Two people less than $20 with quality food and service is awesome. Parking: Near the hotel it's a nice walk. Kid-friendliness: Great family place. Wheelchair accessibility: Single level building

After a morning of shopping and walking around the arts/crafts fair we were looking for a bite to eat. Glad we came upon this place. Felt like home as soon as we walked in, we were seated promptly, and our water/tea was on the table in a flash. Our meal came out just as quick after placing our order. It was exactly what we were looking for, good down-home food. We look forward to our next visit so we can try the famous all you can eat breakfast. When in Maggie Valley please stop in and try their amazing food and customer service. When the locals eat here you know it is good.
