"Nice Thai food goes without long journeys, so the premise for this Saturday evening. The restaurant Ambiente – Thai cuisine in Viernheim came to my mind. I had already read a few reviews on the net and the homepage woke up my interest. Here you can use a small menu and request for a pre-registration, as the dishes are freshly prepared and you also want to guarantee freshness and quality in storage. Very pleasant, because the ambience advertises with: “Our philosophy 10 satisfied guests are better than 20 prepared!” Oh, if this philosophy would prefer more restaurants. The ambience lies in the south-eastern part of the south-hessian town of Viernheim in a residential area. Viernheim is well known for the fact that it is regularly conquered on the basis of the Rhein Neckar Zentrum to Baden Württembergische, but not Hessischen Holidays by Württembergern as if the RNZ had only opened these days. The ambience is located in a two-storey corner house, access is granted only after three steps, bells and the request of the reservation. Once this “test” has been passed, one, no, no, no Radeberger is served but admission is granted. Ambiance outside view The front guest room at four tables offers approximately space for 20 people, with the largest table in the room alone already for eight people. According to the homepage there is another non-smoking room with 8 seats and 5 counters, as well as a smoking room with 5 counters, 10 seats and 8 seats on the standing table. These areas then lie in the back of the restaurant, but were not occupied at the time of our visit. The front guest room offers dark brown wooden tables as well as a corner bench in the bay on the eighth table. The chairs at the other tables with dark art leather padded at the seating and backrests. Here you sit comfortably. The ceiling is covered with bamboo mats and dark wood, the walls are plastered in an almost Mediterranean style. Whether it looks like this in Thailand is a bit out of my knowledge. Ambience guest room dividers in Asiastyle, as well as lamps, a bamboo curtain in front of a former doorway, images matching the ambience on the walls, discreet but effective decoration as well as matching flowers on the table ensure an atmosphere suitable for kitchen alignment. Ambiente Tischdeko The tables were covered with a bamboo-like place set, cutlery and orange paper napkins of the better kind. Sitting in a former living room is worth 4 for the ambience. We were greeted, admitted and guided at our four-seater table for two people, after the request for admission in terms of ring technology. The menus in dark leather cover were rich and we had enough time to stick in them. Of course, there is also a certain building block principle to be worn here, but if the various main dishes with the different meats and fish ingredients just comprise two sides, this is something else as if you order the number 497 from a menu, thick as the telephone book of Munich. The beverage request was requested after a pleasant and suitable waiting period, even the time until the order was received was considered appropriate. Volker Größle is the owner of the service, polite, but not intrusive. Of course, the small number of places is also relaxed, so after a short period of time the drinks came to the table and both the pre- and main dishes we had to accept only a reasonable waiting time for a fresh preparation. The payment process also ran quickly with reasonable credit. At the kindly asked look into the other guest rooms there was a small, nice chat. 4.5 stars for service. We had ordered an iced tea 0.5l € 3.80, a traditionally unnamed Grauburgunder from Rheinhessen 0,25l € 5,20 and a Paulan yeast wheat 0,5l € 3,40 . Ambience ice tea As an appetizer we chose the same named plate with two baked Wantan, two spring rolls and a baked speciality with shrimps and minced meat € 5,10 as well as the Satee spits with peanut sauce € 4,90 , the latter a recurring “must have” for my wife. At the main foods much the choice of my wife on chicken fillet crispy panned € 1.50 with green curry, vegetables and rice € 14.00 , I decided for crispy duck with tamarinds, vegetables, cashew seeds and rice € 17.50 . The starter plate is a very successful change to what is usually offered as a mix plate. The Wantans crispy but not greasy with well-luged filling, the same applies to the two small spring rolls, which already came from the type of strike itself. Also the baked speciality spicy delicious, outside crispy and in juicy. Class instead of mass is a great priority here. Add to this a fruity sharp sauce, good start for me, 4.5 ambience appetizer plates But the Satee spits were also praised by my wife. Four skewers with juicy grilled chicken meat on a peanut sauce that had also earned their name. Perfectly tasted, this dish was served on an elongate plate. The nice Veggiedeko fits with it and again underlined the claim of fresh ingredients, also here 4.5 . Ambiente Satee Spieße The main dish of my wife is a more than lush portion. Seven to eight crispy baked pieces chicken fillet, well seasoned and served juicy on an extra dish. Fresh, crunchy bissfest prepared vegetables consisting of carrots, cucumbers, red peppers, broccoli and cauliflowers. The whole was then allowed to bathe with a large portion of granular rice in a green curry sauce on a black, rectangular plate. The complete dish absolutely succeeded, both from the meat, as well as in vegetables and the beautifully decorated sauce. Due to the size of the portion, I had to taste and was also enthusiastic. Ambience chicken fillet green curry My choice with the crispy duck was in nothing to the taste experience. Here too the duck meat crispy, juicy and delicate. The vegetables are also crisp, the rice grainy and the tamarin sauce taste as excellent as the other ingredients of the dish. And in no place was the thought of any puppies and helpers to improve taste. I would definitely choose this court again. Ambiance Ente Tamarinde Since I really do not have a point of criticism for both main dishes 5 . There was nothing to complain about the optical cleanliness in the restaurant, that is to say for the guest, that is what one expects as a guest, here 4 . We paid € 55.20 this evening, not only for the quantity but much more for the quality of the dishes a more than reasonable, if not even cheaper price. Quality suggests quantity. This is why at PLV 5 . The conclusion of our visit: 5 – definitely again – It took a little longer until we first visited the ambience in Viernheim, but the authentic cuisine, the small guest room and the small but fine card standing for fresh ingredients will surely let us return more often here. 1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it results again, 4 – happy again, 5 – necessarily back to kitchen trip."

"Wir haben Ortskundige bzw. -ansässige nach einem Restaurant in der Nähe unseres Hotels (nh) gefragt. Ein "Grieche" (hatte Ruhetag) und ein "Italiener" wurden uns von unterschiedlichen Personen genannt. Die Wegbeschreibung zum "Italiener" war jedoch durchweg fehlerhaft oder es war ein anderes italienisches Restaurant gemeint.Jedenfalls haben wir d i e s e s Restaurant dann eher zufällig, umrahmt von einer Sportanlage (Fußball, Tennis) gefunden --> es handelt sich aber nicht um die dort ebenfalls in Blicknähe ansässige "Vereinsgaststätte" von der man einen direkten Blick auf die Tenniscourts (indoor) hat. Allerdings war an dieser Vereinsgaststätte ein Hinweisplakat auf das Giardino zu finden. Interessanterweise kannte ein von uns an der Hauptdurchgangsstraße angesprochener Rettungswagenfahrer der sich offenbar vor seinem Heimatstandort befand das Lokal nicht, obwohl es sich nur gefühlte max. hundert Meter in seinem Rücken befand.Deshalb ist dies scheinbar auch die erste Bewertung.Das Sitzen war angenehm, wir wurden sehr zuvorkommend bedient*, das PreisLeistungsVerhältnis war gut (*vom Patrone? nachdem die Servicekraft, die zunächst an unseren Tisch gekommen war,mit unseren Detailfragen, wie nach den geführetn Biermarken, überfordert war). Besucht war das Restaurant zu diesem abendlichen Zeitpunkt - gegen 18 Uhr - schwach. Eigentlich schade --> da täte Werbung vermutlich gut."
