"Was headed to Versailles but didn't want to drive all the way to LA! Glad we didn't ! This place was amazing! Plus we had a great waitress to top it off ! Everything she recommended was spot on! we are from Seattle but we will be sure to go back each time we are in LA. Chicken pork and shrimp were amazing! Cuban coffee the bread ! Yum !!so good!"

"As David Chang has noted, you wouldn?t expect such bomb food in a bowling alley, but lo and behold, Gardena Bowl Coffee Shop exists. Came here on a Monday evening with two other friends around 6:30pm and the parking lot was already full. There is street parking available. The restaurant is unassuming but the food is delicious and portions are generous. Credit cards are accepted. You order at the counter first and then sit down. Indoor dining only. Takeout is also available. I got the Hawaiian Royal, which everyone seems to get for their first visit. It?s on the sweeter side (which is good for me) and very filling I had a very hearty lunch the next day. My friends got the loco moco and garlic chicken respectively, and both liked their food a lot. The garlic chicken in particular has good flavor and comes with rice, mac salad, and broccoli. The employees were nice and everyone eating there seemed to be a local. Overall, it?s got hole in the wall vibes, but you won?t regret coming here."

"Went with my co-workers for lunch and from the start it was bad. I believe it was the owner who asked us to step outside for takeout because there was a person in front of us, then forgot about us to take the order. Which was a red flag but brushed it off and ordered anyway. Then my coworker noticed he overcharged, and said it was the system. He then asked to talk to her and told her the price changed a few months ago but expected her to accept the change when he was the one who gave us the previous menu with the old price. Which then gave her and my other coworker the difference. So, I then checked my receipt, and I saw I was overcharged as well. That's when he got worse with his attitude, telling me if I wanted my money back and the price was different. I was never aggressive towards him and did not like that I was going to be deceived by the overcharge. He was getting in a temper tantrum and my coworker stepped in and said that is not ok. We stepped outside afterward to wait for our food, which he mentioned was a 15-minute wait. During the waiting time, he started yelling in the restaurant, which I know had to do with us. We waited longer than 15 minutes, and my coworker went inside, and our food was sitting at the entrance area. He started getting angry because she was telling him to accept responsibility and to be more respectful toward customers, then started putting his hand on her face, saying ok go. What we should've done is left and got a refund, which we all immediately regretted not doing. For the pricing and food we received, it is not worth it. Service was terrible, and the price deceived the customers, how many more have been deceived and never noticed, please check your receipts and menu prices. I do not recommend going to this establishment, the food was not bad, but for the price, you are better off going to another restaurant."

"Bossa Nova charges for everything. You can't even get a refill on soda or lemonade without a fee. There's even a $3 charge to split the check.While the menu is pretty expansive, it's filled with stipulations in fine print on the back.When we checked in, the young lady at the front told us we could wait in our car for a seat. She definitely wasn't friendly or welcoming.Our food was average. The Sunny side up egg in my bowl was hard and my steak was overcooked, even though I asked for medium rare. My daughter wanted to build her own pizza, but at $16 and $2.50 per ingredient, we talked her into the mushroom truffle pizza instead. The pizza was good. Again, it was just off-putting to be charged for everything.Bossa Nova, charge more if you must and make people feel welcomed. People don't want to feel nickeled and dimed when they sit down for a meal.Parking: Parking in the back is limited and very tight."

"We've been craving some good Tandoori since moving out of state and this place did NOT disappoint. We were the only ones here just after they opened. Service was phenomenal and the food was even better. Portions were enough to feed 2 and we tried the onion bhaji and were blown away. Great spices and the chicken was so tender the paneer was perfectly cooked, we definitely took all of our left overs back to the hotel! We need one of these in Reno, recommend for anyone looking for authentic Indian food in a great environment with awesome flavors.
