"I was at Fia this evening with 3 friends for the opening night of Dine LA. Two of us arrived early and had a cocktail before dinner. The staff was lovely and accommodating. When we sat for dinner, we confirmed the Dine LA menu info and inquired about switching the first course for one lady who has a seafood allergy. We were told they couldn't make any changes but that we could order a separate appetizer at an additional charge. We agreed to that and happily enjoyed 3 of the 4 courses. Very expensive for what it is. Good was over salted, a little rich to pay $36 for some over salted ravioli. 2 can beers $24. It takes all the fun out of it.

If you get at least two drinks with your meal and a coffee with your bread basket then the 65$ per plate is worth it. The ambiance, the flavor the service is all spectacular I just wish we didn't have to squeeze it all in.

Fia's outdoor dining patio is a hidden gem on Wilshire in Santa Monica. The narrow brick-lined alleyway opens into a verdant garden with trees and plants. Enough heaters throughout to keep you warm even on a chilly night. Nice bar and a great variety of creative cocktails. Wines by the glass cover a nice range of palates. The full wine list includes some high-end splurges of French, Italian and American wines. The food is creative and accessible, and be sure to ask about the specials.
