Why does the whole restaurant need to know how the names of the guests are at the individual tables? The food: our unanimous opinion on the “Zanderfilet on the skin fried with cream Sauerkraut and potato snow at €24.80”: we find the skin wabbelig, the sour wort too salty and the fillet of the lady Y with far over 20 small geese “supervised”. After cutting out the mouth, the tombs are arranged beautifully on the edge of the plate. In such a case, a restaurant such as the Fuchshaus should react a bit more sovereign and word-oriented. If the dark light-smoothed waffles prove to be pappy soft, the ice cream is garnished with a lot of queaky sugar spices like with a children's ice cream, we are served what I also tell the operator if the ladies Y still want a coffee or espresso. No, thanks, we are served!... June 2013 Every year the family or part of it returns to the Fuchsbau restaurant. Fuchsbau is something like an institution in Timmendorfer Strand; the hotel/restaurant already has a felt eternity. The ambience is a bit gloomy. Dark wooden walls and ceilings, dark, heavy wood furniture. Add seat covers, carpets and lamps in dark red. On the wide window benches there are unprecedented white orchids that form a pleasant contrast to the otherwise rather dark atmosphere. The tables are covered exclusively with white, reinforced tablecloths and napkins. Fresh flowers, flashing glasses and cutlery complete the image from the elevated ambience. The menus are taken immediately. They are attractively designed, offer fish, meat and vegetarian dishes as well as soups, salads and desserts in interesting compositions. An additional card is available for the drinks. As a small greeting of the house, an appetizer with smoked fish and odorous cream is served – an appetizing mood for the main dish for fish lovers. I opt for “Pochierte Schellfisch an Kräuter Riesling Sauce mit Juliennegemüse und potatopüre zu 19,80 €”. In view of the high summer temperatures, I still choose 0.25 l of water to €2.80. My choice does not disappoint me. I am very happy, just like my accompaniment; it tastes excellent! The operator controls their compartment from the FF; it is nothing to complain. When you leave the restaurant, every lady is handed over a long-lasting rose, a certainly good and attentive gesture that I personally find inappropriate because not everyone goes home directly. It is inevitable that the rose will bless the contemporary as already planned if after a few hours in the car without water and at home only the way to the compost or to the garbage bucket remains."
