"Sumisu is a good place for sushi in Pocatello. I found the roles both American and traditional style, depending on the role. The restaurant is located in downtown, “before the railways”. Parking is located on the western side of the restaurant. When the place is busy and full, the parking lot goes fast. Sumisu is only open for lunch and dinner, with a break between 2:00-5:00. The interior has a beautiful atmosphere and well furnished. I found the stand where we sit to be strange as the table is very wide and the seat is short. We didn't waste time and skipped appetizers. No sounds particularly appealing, they were just your usual appetizers for a sushi restaurant. We order five reels. The Dozo Domo, Hamachi sky, Portneuf, Yellowstone and the dynamite shrimp roll. The Dozo Domo is a cooking roll, it was good, but not my favorite. The yellow stone roll stole my spotlight. This role has everything with meerrot Ahi Thun on the top. I highly recommend it. The Hamachi sky roller was also very tasty. This may have tried my first time in Hamachi so that this role was perfect. A very traditional style role. Overall, I recommend sushi at Sumisu."

"We were in Pocatello for a wedding and met another couple for lunch, both parties vegan and coming from out of town. Despite additional dietary restrictions sensitivities to gluten and allium vegetables the menu offered a number of choices for everyone. It was such an unaccustomed treat we had a difficult time making a choice of what to eat. We started with the Falafel appetizer which was very good. Two in our party had Cashew Burgers but with different bread, one had the Bolivian Quinoa, and one the Paleo Masta Wrap. The coconut wrap was new to all of us and quite tasty. The gluten-free almond bread was similarly tasty and a pleasing texture. We were about to get our check and leave when one in our party asked if there might just happen to be any vegan deserts on the menu. There was both apple and berry pie. But was it gluten free? When the unexpected answer was Yes, we all ordered our own individual piece! And they were delicious! We all left happy and will be back whenever we visit Pocatello in the future! I'd have given 5 stars if I could have."

"Always a pleasure to eat here. Go to the unique smells of happiness. Super friendly, family-oriented environment. Unlike most places in town. Either eat alone or not. The FOOD NIE disappoints. I prefer it in and have the experience they offer. I never had a bad experience with the service or food. I would rather support a small family business that delivers quality and quantity than other restaurants on the same strip of Main."

"Best culinary experience I had for a long time!!! No joke the best steak I've ever had!! Not only was the food amazing and super tasty, but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The waitress was on the spot and got our children full coloring books to entertain them. The only negative I could say is the unauthorized parking around her building. I almost didn't go because we weren't sure if we were allowed to park there. I think they should change their sign to park customers just or something along these lines."
