"We visited Grandma's twice a few years ago and weren’t inclined to return. The breakfast consisted of just a few eggs on a plate with bacon, which didn't leave a great impression. However, we decided to give it another chance on Mother's Day, and we were pleasantly surprised. The standout for us was Samantha. Good honest food with a main focus on breakfast. It's not a big fancy chain , it hasn't spent all it's money on decor and advertising , it is exactly as you would expect , comfy , easy , tasty. At some point I will venture out of my comfort zone which is the grandad's big breakfast as I've sampled a lot of the others but it's hard to say no when it hits the spot. Prices are reasonable , parking is easy , well worth a trip.

Both this restaurant and we’re founded in Charles town, West Virginia and then moved to Raleigh/Wake Forest. It’s so great to see a West Virginia restaurant branch out and spread the homely and welcoming behavior that is expected from West Virginia. Our waiter Jack, was awesome. The food was great. All I wish is a little more WV decor (possibly “races and slots” decor) to remind me of home. Thank you all and I will definitely be returning here.
