"Very tasteful, fantastic rice, I'm not sure what they do differently, but the rice is very delicious. It was not much heat for our food, but well seasoned and there were 3 or 4 hot sauce options available. It seems to be popular with locals. It was moderate during my late lunch. Would eat again."

"Not Chili! Well, guys, his not chili. It is not even chili with beans, but it is beans with chili, and very tasty in it. I had ordered her chili through the post and got a can of beans mixed with some chili paste concentrate. After Taylor's seen food shows what Chili looks like, I thought I had to go there to get the right thing. Well, finally the opportunity came back on a road trip for a while. They served the same. I told our sweet young server that beans in Chili were a hanging attack in Texas. Has she ever been so sweet, Oh, have you chili in Texas? My answer was guarded. Seriously, the taste was so good I took a case home and plan to order another when it expires, and will go back when I'm in the area. The old style chili parlor ambience was textbook and service was top notch. Four stars. If they had called it Taylor's Mexican Bean Parlor, it would be five stars. On my way home, I discovered a sarcasm? Kingwood Bob"

"I love Magnolias is not only the food great, but the owners are friendly and the staff is super efficient and beautiful. The food is fresh, tasty and served in large portions, and the atmosphere is sunny, clean and has a comfortable decor interesting and beautiful, without being rich. A really great find in a small town. And when you come from St. Louis, take the back roads through Alton and enjoy the landscape it is a beautiful ride."

"Kate and her staff go beyond and beyond. The staff is always welcoming when you go in. If there are ever problems, please let their employees know and they will be happy to help solve any problem! Kate is often seen how to interact with customers. Eating is amazing and she is always ready to change the menu and try to keep things so ya not stuck with the same things over and over!"
