Iron Exchange Brewery Tavern

5 stars all the way! We stopped in for lunch on our way out of town. The inside bar area had a large seating area and a stage for live music. They also had a really nice outdoor patio area. Our server was great and offered several suggestions. We had a flight and a house made ****. All of the beers on the flight were good, but the Irish Red Nitro was the favorite. We order cheese curds which were the best I’ve ever had, followed by fish tacos and an incredible Italian Sandwich. EVERYTHING here was awesome, and I can’t wait to come back to try the pizzas and more beer.

Well, the staff is pretty amazing. Very kind and awesome people. The drinks? Groovy! The food?…. Uhhhh… unfortunately for us, not so much. We have tried the IE on 4 different occasions (we figured it might just be a fluke). The best thing on the menu is the tater tots (beer cheese is amazing). But we’ve tried the pizza. Chicken. Walleye. Etc, and I don’t know what it is… it’s not “BAD” food… But some of the items on the menu just don’t live up to be restaurant material in my eyes. There’s only three bar/restaurants in maple plain. I WANT to go to the IE…I will more than likely give it another chance at some point in time.I just don’t wanna pay that much money for food that is… well… meh. Ya...

Modern brewpub and sports bar that is in a kind of remote location but I feel is worth a look if you 're in the area. We want for a walk on the very nice state trails in the area and decided to stop in to try this place we 'd heard a lot about. Very open and modern dining room with a smaller, dog friendly, covered patio. Everyone was very nice and we even met the chef. He was super excited to talk about the portobello sandwich I ordered. Service was kind of slow but we were the only one on the patio at opening and had to go grab our own silverware so think we where kind of forgotten.We got a beer flight and I 'll say this was probably our least favorite thing.
