"We dined at Travail and tried their full tasting menu, which included the cellar bar and the upper floor restaurant. We opted for a cocktail pairing as well as a non-alcoholic pairing to accompany our meal. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with non-alcoholic cocktails before being seated downstairs. Our favorite part of the experience was the cellar bar, and we would definitely return for that alone. The menu, including the drinks, was inventive and unexpected, with presentations that were almost overwhelming in a playful way. We enjoyed dishes such as chorizo and octopus tacos, mussel soup, foie gras reminiscent of lime sherbet, and Korean corn dogs, among others. Everything was delicious, making it difficult for us to choose favorites. Travail did an excellent job of making the non-alcoholic drinks just as fun and interesting as the regular cocktails. The menu upstairs featured more traditional gourmet fare, with the vegetables standing out against the meat dishes. While the steak was a bit too salty on the night we visited, it was otherwise perfectly cooked. Our favorite dish was the pig belly served with carrots in a pea soup. The beverage pairings on the upper floor were quite extensive, but we particularly enjoyed a mango carrot juice served in a cup shaped like a flower pot, which was both sweet and delicious. The desserts were equally outstanding, and we struggled to pick a favorite. Overall, the price tag is more reflective of the experience rather than just the food itself, making it well worth it. The service was a bit unclear in terms of payment structure, but we left a tip and cash under a glass. Despite this small issue, we had an exceptional experience and would definitely return to Travail."

"Stopped in for lunch on a Thursday afternoon with a group of 6. Dining room was pretty busy and we had a short wait for a table. I understand the difficulty with hiring and keeping reliable staff, so we were patient. The server took our order for drinks and then came back for our food order. The food almost beat our drink order to the table. Based on the quality and quantity of food, it more than made up for the slower drink orders. 2 people ordered grits and said they were the best they have ever had. The Miltons wings were nice and hot and crispy. The french dip was huge and delicious. The brisket sandwich had so much brisket in it that it became an open face sandwich. The jerk chicken mac and cheese never disappoints. Exceptional food. Hope you have luck finding more staff. We will return again."

"well, it helped me to have a very buff man dinner. but in addition, we shared the escapes of the roared walleye and the baked hen, as a spade as a kartoffel bree. I have to say that huh was amazing. very delicate and moist. I'd come back for it alone. service was perfect and with open table was great for our reservation."

"It was hard to review so negatively, as the staff and owners were so kind. Also difficult to rate as they were very short staffed. That being said, the meat we were served was mostly over cooked and mainly under seasoned. We also went for long stretches of time with empty plates waiting for meat. Drink refills were by multiple requests only, but again grace needed based on their staffing situation. Polenta, Potatoes and Cheese Biscuits were leaps and bounds better than Fogo AND Rodizio!! With the positive attitude of the staff and the nice esthetic, this has the potential to be a great place. When asked by friends if we would recommend, we said to give it some time to get fully staffed and work out some kitchen kinks."

"Placed saved father's day! It is open later than other breakfast places and I have always meaning to give them an attempt, but never came to this day. Super clean tables and counters. Warm friendly staff and very professional. I ordered the 2 cakes, bacon and left breakfast. The eggs were perfect (basted medium)! They were not casual, but still soft. The cakes were smaller than what I used, but the taste was very good. The bacon and sausage compounds were also fantastic. Good price and fast service!"
