"I was really hoping this restaurant was going to be a good option for those of us in Edgewater. The hostesses were trained well and did all the polite things you 'd expect, greeting, hold doors open, seat you and say goodbye thank you. And then... the rest of the dining experience. No atmosphere, no music. We were seated in the southwest corner booth. It took 15 minutes before a server came to us, Jen. This was a Thursday and we arrived at 6pm, somewhat empty. The back room started to fill up with trivia guests which started at 7pm. We placed our entire order including drinks and got our salads (actually impressive) and appetizer very quickly after. Then we waited and waited. We didn 't see our waitress so we asked the server from next table if we could get more water for the empty glasses on our table when he approached us to ask if he could remove some of our salad plates. He returned quickly with our water. I could see he was attentive to his tables. Still no Jen. As my husband was about to get up from the table she approached with more water, not sure why she was bringing water. She was confused as to if we had gotten any food yet. She looked at our table and saw no food, no empty plates. This was shocking and comical to us. She asked my husband if he wanted another beer and he agreed but we were concerned about the food taking so long. She claimed she just checked we were the next ticket and the kitchen was backed up . The minute she left the table, the food runner brought our dinners. Jen did come back to check on us as we were finishing and we requested to cancel the beer order. She claimed the bar was backed up . I asked her if it was always like this and Jen replied it was on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Good to know.
