"Modern restaurant, pleasant atmosphere. The food is okay. The portions are always large enough, but the quality fluctuates strongly! I ordered the mules several times, they come with a large part of fried vegetables. This is rarely fresh, usually there are TK carrots and TK peas. In addition, a lot of oil and salt is unfortunately used (also to use less on request). Attention: The Veggi-Burger is not vegan!"

"I admit to my disappointment when I discovered that the Zum Simonbrau restaurant has been under new management since my last visit in September 2017. The restaurant, next to the old Bitburg brewery WAS, is one of my favorite restaurants in Bitburg. It seems to be an upscale steak house with Argentine beef and offered little of what I loved to eat there. In the past, there was always a recommendation from the boss and this is usually what I ordered. My fallback dish is always cingue carving and I was disappointed that it wasn't on the menu either. They offered Wiener Schnitzel and Jagerschnitzel. In Fairness for the restaurant, I asked them if they could make pine carvings for me and committed them. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The peppers were too crisp and the sauce was not typical. My wife ordered Veal Cordon Bleu and she was very happy with it. The salads and potatoes were both pretty good. The service was very good and of course you cannot go wrong Bitburger Pils order. I do not expect to eat here again and wish them success as Steak House."
