"Staying in the north part of the Big Island should come with a warning that (almost) every restaurant will be closed by 6pm no matter the day. That led us to the only open place L&L BBQ, where we had been to in Cali previously. But this location made everything incredibly fresh and delicious. The lumpia, chicken katsu, and lau lau combo were all amazing. The standouts for me were the lumpia, the Mac salad, and the katsu. Tons of food for not a ton of money. And the view of the street below was glorious around sunset time."

After conquering the long hike of the Pololu Valley, we stumbled upon this restaurant and it was a perfect. The portions were generous, exactly what our tired bodies craved. I opted for the garlic shrimp, and oh boy, it was a flavor explosion! I've never had that much garlic in one meal, but it was cooked to perfection. A must-try for anyone in the area! Service: Dine in
