"This place was an experience. I took my daughter on a college visit at Kent State, and when I told a friend that we were going to be in Kent they said You HAVE to eat at Mike's Place So we headed there for lunch after her campus tour.When we pulled into the parking lot, we weren't sure where to look. we enjoyed the eclectic atmosphere and friendly service. I had the ham steak with ananas, mac n cheese and broccoli, loved it. my type had the slides, but they were dry and not impressive.

never go there and be served by someone named sweetnesses it is terrible, just like every bit of the service they receive at mikes place, the current manager is wonderful, but the staff that is old and crochet is sucking.

my wife and I eat here and we were impressed with the building, the service, and the food. we stopped for dinner on a sat. it was busy but we didnt have to wait for a table, and our waitress Magen was very good . We will be back the portions were big and the price was fair. A huge menu. I would say visit this place its fun.
