"The family and I thought here was a quick bite. I'll tell you, it was a fucking quick bite. We ordered grub and it was excellent! I also took a double crown and coke that was perfect! Service was an A and one day we shake back!"

Breaked in for lunch and was very happy with everything. I ordered the 86 burgers it was very delicious.

Had to wait here for lunch for her name. Really good servers and atmosphere. The food was good and as you would find in most Burger type restaurants.

The food is good, but the atmosphere is what makes this place. Right on the old main road of Deadwood you will be treated in a historical environment and reenactments. This place is a must when you go to Deadwood.

"We rolled into town quite late and weren't sure where we grab a bite. After check-in to the hotel we were glad to find Mavericks only on the way. They were incredibly busy, but sat by the bar and the bartender came right by. The Chislic Appetizer was incredible. Ten ounces of delicate, deep fried steak, slightly dusted in a garlic salt mixture. I'm not a big carnivore, but this dish is definitely longing."

"As long as I have lived in this area and worked in Deadwood I have yet to go into the pump house and I've always wanted to. I will! and I didn't know that you still served food, And I love glass art. So I have to make that one of my stops before winter Maybe when I'm out pounding the pavement this next few days looking for work I've walked past more times than I can say and hundreds of times drove past. I'm just embarrassed that I've lived here this long and have not been inside yet and working in Deadwood to boot But it always makes me happy to see good reviews given to all businesses here in Deadwood"

"I rarely give less than a 4-star review but in this case, The waitress/server was neither friendly nor helpful. As a matter of fact she was downright rude. Our food, 2 brats with fries and sauerkraut, took a ridiculously long time to get to our table, and the French fries were cold. The food tasted decent but I think that $18.00 for this plate was setting the bar too high and they failed ro meet the cost:taste:value expectations. The building was a little run-down, the picnic benches were dry and splintery, and they were at an angle so it was not comfortable, at all. Sadly, we were not happy with our overall experience and would not recommend this place to our friends."

"The food at this place is consistently the best in the Black Hills. We eat here on every trip. It is a unique experience that we enjoy. The service can be a little hit and miss, which is the norm for Deadwood. This trip was a miss on service. It took a very long time to get a drink ordered. The restaurant was at about half capacity. Even with slightly subpar service, we will make reservations for the next time we are in town. If in the area, don't miss the chance to try this."
