"The chef elevates simple, local ingredients to something spectacular. I have been visiting Seabrook for the past two summers and continue to be amazed at the high quality food. Presentation is great too. Lunch is a Gastopub sort of menu and dinner is a bit more refined. They change the menu daily so it’s exciting to see the specials. Hats off to the chef!"

Always great food and great drinks. You can’t get a better view at any restaurant in the area like this place. Summer of 2021 very limited menu but hopefully it won’t be that way next year! FUN fact: This restaurant was shown in the first episode of the OBX.

DRINKS ONLY! The food is absolutely disgusting!!!!! It’s dive bar food at best. The peel eat shrimp are never fresh, the tortilla chips stale, even the hotdog is horrible … The list goes on … We are completely embarrassed to take any of our guests there. The only positives Staff View

We have eaten here for 5 different meals this week, and everything we have gotten has been delicious! Service has been great as well. We tried another restaurant while here, and were so disappointed that we decided Pelican's Nest will be the spot for dining out! Even my extremely particular teenager has loved everything he's gotten!

"We 've been coming to Kiawah Island for more than 35 years. When Freshfield 's Village opened a few years ago, we were excited when new restaurants came on to the scene. They 've all been hit or miss. We decided to give Cantina 76 a try as we were in the mood for Mexican food. Complimentary chips and salsa? Nope, diners must buy the salsa for $5 and the Queso was $7 or $8. Wife wanted to order the Chimichanga but didn 't want a couple of ingredients that was in it. Our server said, I 'm sorry, but these are pre-made 'frozen ' We were stunned. Frozen? So, we each ordered 2 tacos and an enchilada. I ordered the buffalo chicken taco and peruvian shrimp taco along with a chicken enchilada. The buffalo chicken taco was 2 spicy chicken nuggets with wing sauce on a soft tortilla with a pinch of lettuce on top. I laughed. Frozen nuggets reheated apparently. As was the enchilada. In fact, all the meat items for the tacos (wife had the chicken taco and traditional beef taco) looked and tasted like reheated from frozen. Total bill for grand total of 4 tacos and 2 enchiladas along with a basket of chips, salsa and queso was $57 including tip. Water was our beverage. It 's a nice place, but the vibe was lacking and the food definitely not up to par. We were here at 6 PM on a Friday night and there were maybe 3-4 other couples here. If you 're staying on either Kiawah or Seabrook, save your money and just go to Harris Teeter and buy frozen entrees and a bag of tortilla chips."
