"I ordered from the Portillo 's Favorite Five combo menu at the Springfield Illinois Portillo 's, which clearly states with small fries and drink on it. The price of the combo add ons are on it too. Good beef sandwiches. Onion rings were pretty good too. I like the interior it's got a truck in the ceiling so that sets them apart from a Burger King or McDonald's. Prices are kinda high tho. Just be prepared to spend real restaurant money on fast food. But everything is expensive these days.Parking: Ridiculously Massive parking lot for this type of business. Parking is free in the suburbs just thought it would be funny to point out they have a massive parking lot.

Growing up outside of Chicago, I am a huge Portillo's fan. I am so excited that they're expanding their locations around the US so that maybe they'll eventually come further south to where I currently am. However, I was traveling for the holidays and stopped at this location. The first time I stopped here was over the summer, and the second time was near Thanksgiving. Over the summer, I went through the drive thru. It was expedient, and my extensive order was correct. For Thanksgiving, we took the family and ate inside. I just moved here a week ago and I'm from the Chicago area where we have portillo's. I had a craving for mostaccioli which I always get. When I went in there they informed me that they don't see that due to there not being a barnelli's which is a little disappointing but I understand. The staff were okay however we waiting around 15 minutes for our food and by the time we got it our milkshakes were sitting there melting. I noticed they changed their straws too so it was hard to mix, again that's not too big of a deal just an observation. "This is the best of Indian restaurants in the area. My husband is from India so he is special about his dishes, but they will make them custom, the Dahl is very good as the Aloo. Make sure no ghee to make the dishes vegan. I give this a good Raring and they have added dozens of vegan menu items and they are now tagged with a whole vegan menu. "We normally love this place, it is great for a party of 2-4 , however anything more and the service is terrible and so is the food. We made a reservation in advance for a party of 16. It took 3 hours to get our food and when they brought it out they brought it out in pieces. Some of our party got only their entree, some of our party only got their sides and then some received nothing, then 15 20 min later... some of us received the other part of our dinner , while some in our party were still missing sides and one never got anything. I don't mind waiting but when we saw other parties come and go, then more come and go, we felt that our party was just being over looked. The food was not even hot , just barely warm, ... This was just a bad experience. When we asked to speak with a manager , he had more of the bouncer type mentality, he was not apologetic, we we not even asking for a refund or anything, we just wanted to express our unhappiness with the service and quality of the meal, and he was very intrusive, he was standing over us as to intimidate us verses truly caring about our experience. We usually go every year, and we have had poor service before but not like this, the service was so bad this time We are finally done with this place!!!!!"

I ate here twice. but that was waiting for much too long both times, and eating is not worth waiting. pfeffer huhn (this is only black pfeffer) is not good. iced tee from Chinese restaurants is usually the best, but you are like water, and it is brewed by a machine, not in the kitchen. jumpfield has too many good Chinese options to go back here unfortunately."

"We ordered 6 meals for pickup a little over an hour before they closed last night. 3 meals were missing entirely and we were missing 2 sides on the meals we did receive. I called immediately to let them know what was missing and was told to come back and they would give us the rest of the food we paid for. I still had 3 guests waiting to eat so we immediately drove back over. When we got there expecting the rest of our order (as told on the phone) we were told they had changed their minds because they had already turned off the grill for the night. They were now going to refund the total cost of our order instead. I wanted the food more than the refund as our guests were waiting to eat. The 1st amount refunded was just for the missing food instead of the whole order like they had said. They even kept the whole tip including the based on the food they never provided. I made another call and it looks like I will now get a full refund. My guests (who had never eaten there before) still haven't and I bet they never will. They were not impressed. We also will never order from here again. The food is pretty good if you can get it, but it is not so special as to put up with such poor service."

"Unfortunately, Sam is not what it used to be. My husband had the fish bo'boy who was very good for the price. I had the Phillie and again it was a small amount of food. We shared the fried green tomatoes, but her ranch dressing tasted more like mayonnaise than anything else. You forgot to give me my red beans and rice. When I brought her to her attention, my side was given to me. The red beans and rice with some added salt were the most beautiful part of my meal. Our bill was over $34. Never"
