"Best lobster rolls and scallops in the area! My friends were visiting and we ate lobster at Helen's in Machias, Fisherman's Wharf (in Lubec) and River's Edge in Machias. River's Edge had the best lobster roll by far. It had lump lobster, not just little pieces and the bun was perfectly toasted."

Had the Fish Sandwich. It was good. They offer ice cream but we didn't have any. Wish they offered Fried Shrimp.

Got the haddock dinner basket. Definitely enough for 2 ppl was only $20. Fresh n delicious. Was a bit too greasy but hey its fried feeessh

Seafood baskets, wide variety of sides and many ice cream and custard treats. Even a doggie ice cream bowl with a dog biscuit on top. Takeout only, with fast moving lines of happy people. Tables on the river to enjoy your order on site.

"Great traditional American/Maine cuisine exactly how your Grandma would have made it, lick your plate delicious! Our server Sara was awesome and added a little flair and sauce suggestions to lunch specials. Lobster Stew was flavorful with simple ingredients, and the dessert to take home worth every calorie. Hubby enjoyed the real batter onion rings and steak wrap almost as much as the sweet corn nuggets and southwest egg rolls we shared for apps. Definitely a new stop on our route to Lubec. Great job Blue Bird Ranch Family."

"Today I visited the machias Subway. I got so much more than I expected. The store was extremely clean Wich is the first thing I look for. The staff was great to suggest and accommodate everything we needed. There is a subway much closer to me but I'll drive an hour for this kind of service. Thanks guys."

"Unexpected gem in Machias. Searched on OT for 4 of us expecting to finding nothing and this was listed. The food and beer were great. We started with a charcuterie board, a couple cups of Portuguese seafood stew, a bowl of the sweet and spicy nuts, and house made beers. All were enjoyed especially the Porter beer. For dinner we had the chicken pot pie, BLB burger, and a couple of the tuna specials. Everyone thought their dinners were exceptional but were too full for the awesome looking desserts. Was a restaurant you would expect in Portland. not in Machias."
