"When Spice Kitchen in Maspeth sold to new owners and went completely down the drain, they broke my heart.Saffron has not only mended it, I think I love them more than I ever loved Spice. We've ordered at least 15 times now.You can't go wrong here, but our standard (delivery) order is Channa Masala, Aloo Tikka, Vegtable Pakora, Chicken Tikka Masala, and of course, Garlic Naan. Everything is amazing and no, I can't cut any of those out of the order. We might throw in some Aloo Gobi or Chicken Chaat or something, but those are non-negotiable and they hit every time!Even delivering farther away than is probably best, the food is hot and wonderful. Extremely bad chicken biryani. Not even close to what authentic biriyani is supposed to be like. Chicken horribly overcooked and rice was undercooked. Avoid at all

The service was great but the food was not. Everything was too sweet. I suspect that the chef is Thai. If not, how come Indian curries tastes like Thai?? Why would come here and pretend you are eating Indian food? I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

This food is Mcdonalds Indian. I ordered a lamb vindaloo with a side of the chef's special and a lamb curry with aloo mutter gobi. What I got was exactly the same meal, except one was 4/5 hot and one was 0/5.It was the same meal even though we ordered different ones. There were maybe two pieces of lamb per meal, mostly potatoes. Yes it was the lunch special but I'm sorry this was in very poor taste. The spicy meal with the chilis was excellent, the other meal, which was exactly the same, was horrible. We paid 40 bucks for this. I order out maybe once every month because I'm basically bankrupt. Worst take out experience in a long time. If you want real Indian food via delivery stick with Seva...
