"The food here is so good! And the flan should die. Almost all their dishes can be made gluten-free if you specify so, and they will take steps to avoid cross-contamination when you let them know that you are celiac. The prices are very reasonable and you get a lot of food. The atmosphere is relaxed with the stands and tables at a reasonable distance (in contrast to most places in the old town). It is also family-friendly and a good option if you have small children. There are options on the menu for everyone. I cannot recommend this restaurant very much. It is the best restaurant where we were in the old town and we lived here for a few years."

"My sister got married and we had 15 people in the back party room to enjoy a meal together. It was dark and somewhat cramped but it worked as there aren't many restaurants in Cottonwood that can accommodate a large group. Oh yeah and the food was awesome! We also had a newer server but he ended up being great. We waited about 20 min before seeing a server even for water, but we were patient as they were packed in the restaurant. Appetizers- we ordered a few Crostini boards for the table right away and they were overall pretty tasty. Crabby mac n cheese- not my favorite as it reminded me of a tuna helper. (I tried this as my mom ordered it) Entrees- I think we found the best things on the menu ! Mahi-Mahi Roma: ok... this sounded interesting on paper and it exceeded our expectations! Definitely a foodgasm and we are craving it as I am reminiscing about it from April! We got it with the Parmesan risotto and it was a match made in heaven! Get it!! I want more! The risotto was cooked perfectly and I can't even describe what was happening in my mouth while eating the mahi roma and risotto together... crave worthy and for sure the best thing I ate in Cottonwood. Clams Portofino- light pasta dish with yummy clams. It was really good, but the mahi roma hit all the spots. Overall, I will be back here and getting the Mahi Mahi Roma if I lived closer, but when back in AZ I will venture here again for it!!"

"My experience at the Tavern was a very good one. My hostess seated us quickly and my waiter was very attentive. My children were with me and the staff treated them kindly. All of our food arrived quickly and was prepared well. I ordered a dessert to share and it was quite delicious. I would dine her again in the future."

"I landed in Cottonwood after a 4 day stag party in La Jolla and a 7 hour drive through the desert. It wasn’t quite fear and loathing but I needed help in the way of a good meal and a stiff drink. I felt at home within minutes of walking through the doors. The decor, conversation, aromas and friendly staff were exactly what I needed. Maynard’s Mac and Cheese and a few glasses of Tempranillo went down a treat. I love this place and I hope to get back there some day."

"Fantastic surprise! This barbecue was great! I always judge a BBQ place through his smell. If I can't smell the meat before I go to the door, I don't want to eat there. Colt 804 can be odorized down the block and when you meet the door, you are ready to be impressed. It's counter-order, which is a nice change. The terrace outside is dog friendly, and where the huge smokers are. My family and I (also our dog) enjoyed sitting on the terrace next to a stone fountain. The food is completely delivered!! I had the pulled pig and it was tasteful and juicy. Everyone enjoyed their meals only eating Miss was the Mac N cheese, which was simply smokey, so much it had a gray ashy coloring to him. The glasses were a little small, so it needed several trips to serve the self soda fountains while we eat. But the size that is COLT 804 did not end after the lip crushed meat, potatoes and bread should You don't want to let out one of their AMAZING desserts. We had the peach cup (whether we feed a family of four) and their cowboy cookie with ice that we all agreed was the best dessert. This place is a delicious jewel and not to miss."
