"Don't miss this place if you ever visit Avila Beach! While most people don't stray from the beachfront shops and eateries, a mere block off the main drag is the best affordable food you'll find Taco Shack! They can be seen with their giant grill on the sidewalk, grilling meat for their burritos and tacos. Just follow the mouth watering smell of that grill! The shack itself is small; only about 5 tables inside and a couple outside. The menu is small but I promise you'll find something you like. I got a regular size pork burrito. It was HUGE. I could cook better tacos at home. No flavor, hardly any meat they give you two huge tortillas to fill you up. Try one first

This little place here has by far the best fish tacos EVER!!! The hubby and I bring all our friends here to eat fish tacos when they're in town. Now I recently became vegetarian but I just had to eat some fish tacos since I'm here and they just NEVER disappoint! Check them out if your in town or if your from around here take the drive, you WILL NOT be disappointed!!!

Perhaps the most disgusting Mexican food I have ever dared to eat. I got one of the burritos and my wife had some tacos, disgusting on both counts. The service was also exceptionally rude. Why oh why didn't I listen the Yelp reviews before wasting a meal from my vacation? This place should really cut its losses and close, you're not providing a service the community and your chef tastes like he's on suicide watch. Maybe instead of trying to run a Mexican joint, you should get your chef the help he is crying out for. The time for the intervention is today. Fire your chef. Close your doors.
