"So good I wanted to lick the tray...all while wearing a tie. Move over taco restaurants there is a new taco queen in my heart and her name is Maria's Taco Xpress!! Wow!! Am blown away. Had a variety plate to taste which taco was the best, all good!! Even the chicken one was extremely full of flavor when at other restaurants the chicken tacos taste dry and lack flavor. Maria figured it out!! Wow, will eat here going forward when ever in town. Definitely worth the drive. No regrets."

I have been going to Maria's and enjoying her tacos since they were being served in one of Austin's first food trucks outside of her neighborhood store. This place isn't just a restaurant, it's part of the heart and soul of the South Austin Culture, and has been an important meeting place for Austinites for two decades now. It's my favorite food/meeting/and music place of all of ATX. Viva la de Maria's!
