"We tried Tan Lac Vien for the first time last night and were thrilled to find a separate vegan section on their menu. The menu was labeled as Temporary Menu on both sides, but we assumed it referred to the vegan options. We ordered the vegan broken rice and the vegan bungalow, both of which came with a side of teriyaki tofu. The flavors were amazing - smoky and full of umami. One of the best side dishes we've ever had. We were very pleased with our food and service and will definitely return. Highly recommended! The Vietnamese cuisine at this restaurant is excellent, with many delicious vegan choices available. I particularly enjoyed the bungalow vegan dish, and the Tofu and Seitan were also fantastic. I am excited to come back to Pittsburgh and try more items from their vegan menu on my next visit.

I appreciate the separate vegan menu at this restaurant, but the food didn't exceed my expectations. My time in Vietnam may have spoiled me, as the dishes we ordered, while good, were not outstanding. However, if you enjoy spicy food, make sure to ask for some of the chili oil from the kitchen. It definitely elevated the dishes to the next level.

I visited a restaurant that offers a separate vegan menu, which was convenient. However, I wasn't particularly impressed by the food. Having spent time in Vietnam, I may be a bit spoiled, as the dishes we ordered, while tasty, weren't extraordinary. I recommend asking for some chili oil from the kitchen if you enjoy spicy food - it really elevated the flavors by adding a kick to the meal.
