Thai Smiling 2 is a sister restaurant to Thai Smiles in Frankfort, Kentucky. It has been a part of the Muncie community for over 15 years. They offer some of the best Thai food in the area. We love their hot and spicy tofu curry dishes. They could improve on their vegetarian options as they currently only offer meat in their rolls. However, this is our second favorite Thai restaurant in Muncie and it is definitely worth a visit, especially for those near the campus. We have always received good service and enjoyed our meals there.

I absolutely love Thai Smiles because of the many options available! Most of their dishes can be made with tofu or shrimp. My personal favorites are the green curry (with a milder taste) and the garlic and black pepper dish (I like to add ginger to it). The tofu is cooked as a block, then cut into cubes so that four of the six sides are browned and crunchy, but it still absorbs the flavors of the dish well. The staff at Thai Smiles are very accommodating, making it easy to customize rice and noodle dishes to your liking. Unfortunately, they do not have a vegan option for tom yum soup and not all entrees can be made vegan.

They make up for these shortcomings by providing extra fried spring rolls. It would be great if they offered non-meat spring rolls.
