Little did I know that The Greene Turtle ? has over 20+ Maryland locations! It opened its first spot in 1976 (the year I was born, don?t tell nobody) in Ocean City, Maryland. In 1981, college buddies Steve Pappas and Tommy Dickerson bought Ocean City English-style pub, The Greene Turtle, and transformed it into a beloved sports bar. Growing up in Baltimore, the ?Turtle? became our go to place for burgers fries, later on beer and hanging out with friends. A friend I stopped here for dinner last nite. There was maybe 5 people in the dining room. It was 630. No one was up front to seat us. Finally someone came seated us. Not long but we waited about 5 min. She asked the waitress for a drink menu then asked the price of a certain drink. Since NO prices were listed. The waitress said she didn?t know. She didn?t say, wait a minute I?ll find out, No she just stood there said she didn?t know. We asked for water. When she came back we ordered a drink our meal.
